HR apparently overwhelmed by attempt to sack 12.5k people in one day. HR exit meetings kicked off on Tuesday morning, spurring a wave of LinkedIn status changes, while others found comfort venting or trading information in online forums. "Through a reorganization of our go-to-market teams and an ongoing series of actions, we are becoming a leaner company. We are combining teams and prioritizing where we invest across the company. We continually evolve our business, so we're set up to deliver the best innovation, value and service to our customers and partners," Dell told The Register by email. #business #productivity #enterprise #jobs #employment #employees

The leadership at VS either had no idea what kind of a gem they had, or knew and were too cynical for their own good. I also spent 15 years of my life there. I learned a great deal, but I was also stagnated by the fact that advancement opportunities from the Care Center were so incredibly rare. It is a shame because they had an incredible pool of wonderful people that they could have used to help with their flagging sales. Women had been calling for expanded sizes for decades before VS got into the mix, and by then it was too late. Fenty beat them to the punch. Respect your employees. Invest in your company growth rather than rushing to the next quarterly earnings to get a pat on the back from the board. Investment in your fundamentals will reap rewards. Trying to cut corners will always show through in the end.

CEO @ HireGains • Talent Leader • Future of Work Strategist • Accelerating Transformation • Changing The Talent Game
It's a weird thing, trying to figure out what to do with your life right after high school. It’s a big ask, in my opinion. Honestly - I didn’t know what to do. All I knew was that I’d suddenly lost my dad at the age of 16, and life from that point on felt very fragile and fleeting. If I was going to make a difference in this world, I wanted to walk a path that allowed others to find meaning in their moments—not just in life, but in work too. My path started in corporate psychology, led me into talent acquisition, and then into a scalable solution through the technology at the core of my new business venture, HireGains. We are changing the talent game by putting science around the concept of performance. Whether performance for you is about impact, purpose, contribution, connection, financial gain, or all of the above - we all want our time, our moments, to mean something - to be well spent. To matter. If you've read this far, would love for you to take an extra 2 mins to watch our video here, and tell me what you think of our solution. Can we change the game? #MeaningfulMoments #HireGains #Makeitmatter #Connection #Contribution

Helping Enterprise SaaS/Cyber/Data Sales Leaders bring amazing GTM professionals into their teams. Padel tennis fanatic!
6 crazy things top sellers don't expect when handing their notice- 1 Your current employer refuses to make it public to your colleagues/partners making you feel awkward/disingenuous. 2 Your bosses dredge up stories rubbishing your new employer. 3 Your salary and benefits are bumped up generously. 4 Some amazing new plans you weren’t aware of that will massively benefit you appear out of nowhere. 5 You are treated like royalty, given lots of time off to reflect/relax. 6 You may end up not leaving! Leaders have the upper hand because they are used to staff resigning. Employees are out of their comfort zones because they don’t resign often. Leaders make you question if you are making the right choice by leaving. Its unsettling if all you want is to enjoy time off before your exciting new challenge. Share your experiences in the comments below. Tomorrow, I'll discuss how a big counter-offer plays out..... #thegreatresignation #resign #saassales #salesrecruitment

Being in Operations is not an easy job most days. Ensuring smooth operations while also being cost effective, managing budgets and forecasts that seem to change daily with this current economy, devising methods to improve processes, systems, and goals, recruiting dynamic leaders with great work ethic but not offering pay that matches their skills, while also training, developing, and showing up for your team with a positive attitude. It is definitely not a job that is cut out for everybody. However, it has been the most rewarding job I’ve ever had. Of course there is the personal satisfaction side where you enhance your brain with critical thinking, analytical, financial management, and strategic planning skills, make informed decisions to drive operational improvements, constantly adapt to trends and patterns, constant development of interpersonal and communication skills, and getting the opportunity to see your ideas, methods, training, and goals be effective in a positive way. But there is also the “compersion” side of things I don’t think is talked about enough. Like working diligently with a team on a project and watching it flourish once executed, setting tough goals for a team and watching their excitement when exceeding expectations, observing the personal development and growth of someone you trained, mentored, and pushed and being the first call they make when they hit a milestone or land their dream job, acquiring investments that didn’t seem possible a year ago, your team being the leader in resident retention and positive reviews because of the outstanding customer service offered, having customers (parents/residents) hug you for offering a safe place and being a positive influence in their experience, company turnover being at an all-time low because they feel appreciated and seen, being able to promote within, ending the year with amazing NOI’s that lead to offering bonuses for all the hard work and dedication put in. I could go on and on. Most of the time I end my days exhausted. And there are times that I have contemplated if I was in the right position and even industry, especially as life gets harder and demands get greater. But at the end of the day, it all comes down to LEADERSHIP and work ethic. Whether you are an autocratic or democratic leader, a transactional or transformational leader, or whether you view yourself as a mentor, coach, or boss, your customers and employees just want to be recognized, appreciated, heard, and invested in. You take the time to invest in them, they will put in the work to invest in you. Always remember this quote that I live by: “They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care!” You will be amazed at what a little compassion and a positive attitude can do for your company, your employees, your customers, and for yourself! It takes a special type of person to do what we do, but if you do it right, it’s worth every second! #spreadlove #normalizetheabnormal
How many workers are satisfied with their current jobs? Amid concerns of slow wage growth, high costs of living and large-scale layoffs, it’s no surprise that some Americans are weighing their next career move carefully. That said, nearly half of U.S. professionals say they hope to keep their current role this year, according to LinkedIn’s latest Workforce Confidence survey. The top job functions where more than half of workers say they would like to stay put include real estate, business development, healthcare services, education and engineering. Military and protective services saw the lowest share of workers planning to stay in their current role (35%), followed by program and project management (41%). Some professions may be more likely to prefer to stay at their current jobs now than in years past. For example, the engineering profession has seen a steady increase in plans to stay put, growing from 48% in early 2022 to 52% in early 2024. Meanwhile, IT workers’ plans to stay in their current role peaked in early 2023 (48%) and has since dropped to 42%. Does this data resonate with sentiments you’re hearing among peers in your job function? Weigh in below. ✍️: Rachel Cromidas 📊: Allie Lewis, Bud Rashidian, Kou Luogon
