The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has ceased publishing data on the number of aircraft in the fleets of Russian airlines.   This information was previously publicly available in the airline register on the agency’s website, indicating the type and number of aircraft included in each carrier’s operator certificate. At the end of April, the New Trends in Civil Aviation 2024 (NTCA) conference was held in Prague ✈️. This was already the 24th year of a series of conferences organised by the Department of Air Transport of Fakulta dopravní ČVUT v Praze 🎓.   The objective of these conferences is to provide a platform where members of communities interested in air transport operations and applications are able to interact. The conferences are designed for both specialists from practice and academics and serve as a forum for exchange of opinions and experience regarding technology, methodology, applications, and case studies as well as real cases in both civil and military aviation. BRAVO JARUS. You need a good relationship with ICAO. In my humble opinion at least because: 1) ICAO Annexes are mainly addressed to States, but the latter shall translate ICAO language into regulations ... and JARUS may help. 2) New Part IV of Annex 6 states that the open, specific and domestic certified category are not in scope of ICAO standards = harmonisation may be pursued through JARUS. 3) UAS/UTM/UAM are still developing and the community still needs brainstorming on several topics (e.g. new 'U' Flight Rules) and brainstorming may be easier in JARUS which is informal. Results could be brought to ICAO when sufficiently mature. Congratulations and continue with dialogue and cooperation.
