In a casual conversation, my dad, who doesn't have Instagram or Facebook, told me he didn't know which company I worked for or what we do. He's familiar with my sister's role at one of the Big 4s, but Qoruz was a mystery to him. 🤔 Initially, I dismissed his curiosity with a quick, "It's a marketing agency." But later, I realized I needed to do better. I took some time to show him Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. I explained how creators put out content, the whole process behind the scenes of these reels and shorts, and the apps and platforms we build at Qoruz. He was genuinely interested and even said, “You work in such a vibrant industry!” He’s now a fan of YouTube Shorts! This conversation was a powerful reminder of my own journey. When I joined Qoruz two years ago, I didn't know the ABCs of influencers, creators, or content creation. Fast forward to today, and I find myself explaining our entire process. This transformation is a testament not only to the incredible support from my colleagues but also to the efforts I've put in. In my career I have worked in different Industries from Investment Banking to Telecom to Pharma, but Qoruz has been a unique experience. The cultural shift and fast-paced work environment here are unlike anything I've encountered before, and I cherish every moment of it. Explaining my work to my dad made me realize how much I've learned and grown. who else freezes when the camera is on them? Anyway, off topic.... Working for a corporate company and combining social media can be quite tricky. You have to maintain professionalism as well as creating engaging TikTok's and Reels. Well, as we are breaking barriers in this day and age, It seems as though high professional companies are making 'silly' comedic videos to increase engagement and I'm ALL for it! It not only lets employees feel like they can be themselves but, also creates a stronger community within the company and that means = BETTER CONTENT, MORE LEADS, AND INCREASED REVENUE! Dear Communication PRofessionals, I reverse-engineered Red Bull's and two other content calendars for February. I set out to confirm practically why some content calendars are high performers and some are not. I found it interesting that Red Bull shares a post every 6:01 PM and 10:01 PM. Below are sample timestamps for Red Bull's Facebook posts (Find full month in the comments): - Thursday February 1, 2024, 6.01 pm - Thursday February 1, 2024, 10.01 pm - Friday February 2, 2024, 10.01 pm - Saturday February 3, 2024, 6.01 pm Time of publication: 6:01 PM and 10:01 PM I am not sure why, but I am guessing that generally, 6 PM is when most people are in traffic and 10 PM is when they are headed to bed. Also, it is impossible to hack this without scheduling posts. However, you may notice that there were a few times they posted outside of 6:01 or 10:01 PM. - Monday February 12, 2024, 5.59 pm - Friday February 16, 2024, 6.03 pm - Tuesday February 20, 2024, 10.02 pm - Thursday February 22, 2024, 6.02 pm Perhaps they had to recall a scheduled video for re-editing to avert the damage such a video would cause. But because most social media platforms provide a 1-hour max window within which to schedule a post, one has to publish manually while aiming for their 6:01 or 10:01 lucky charm. On Facebook - Red Bull posted reels only - 2 posts a day - Few times they posted only once On Instagram - Red Bull posted reels only - Two (2) posts in Feb, on the 12th and 27th For X - Short questions - Every two days, slightly flexible - Shied away from images and videos All above are potential components in Red Bull's Communication Strategy-Social Media. Here are others: 1. We use social media to showcase extreme sports and entertainment. 2. We avoid using social media for hard news and updates (in the month of February). 3. We try as much as possible to be organic on social media 4. We build a community of 2000 artists with whom we create our content 5. We post only at 6.01pm and 10.01pm 6. Et al...
