What if we started to think creatively out of the box again as Nurses and Nurse Leaders? I've been excited about the recent changes emerging in media around this topic to address the decline in nurses satisfaction and retention. I remember early in my nursing career the flexibility I had depending on my circumstances to work creatively. I'm very excited to see it coming back! #nursesonlinkedin #nurses #lifecyclebalance #nursecoaches #nursingleadership https://lnkd.in/gNuF_-yd

Nurse Educator | Leader | Professional Development Specialist | An empowered nurse who strives to empower fellow nurses through continuing education and professional development.
If we expect nurses to deliver compassionate care, we must first show compassion towards them. In my experience, nurses often perform a balancing act, managing countless responsibilities simultaneously with limited resources. They are the unsung heroes in hospitals and clinics, providing not just medical care but emotional support to patients and families. Yet, they are also human, facing their own challenges and pressures. It's time we shift our perspective and recognize that caring for our nurses is essential for them to care for the world effectively. Compassionate support for our nursing staff isn't just about acknowledging their hard work; it's about creating an environment where they can thrive both professionally and personally. Let's take actionable steps to ensure that our nurses receive the care and understanding they deserve. This can be through better working conditions, mental health support, or simply expressing gratitude for their tireless efforts. When nurses feel valued and supported, they are in a better position to provide the high-quality care that impacts so many lives. As leaders, colleagues, patients, or simply as members of the community, let's commit to showing genuine compassion to our nurses. Their ability to care for the world hinges on how we care for them. Let's make a difference together! #Nurses #NurseAppreciation #CompassionateCare #SupportOurNurses #NursesOnLinkedin #EmpoweredNurseMentor

Lessons We Can Learn from Nursing Professionals Last week, we had the privilege of training these wonderful nursing students at the Narnarayan Sastri Institute of Nursing. While interacting with them I learnt a lot from them: Compassionate Care: Nurses treat patients with kindness and empathy during their most vulnerable moments, showing us the profound impact of genuine care. Resilience in Adversity: Nurses face challenging situations daily yet continue to provide exceptional care, teaching us the strength of the human spirit and the importance of perseverance. Dedication to Lifelong Learning: Constantly updating their knowledge, nurses emphasize the importance of continuous education and adaptability in any profession. Teamwork and Collaboration: Nursing requires seamless teamwork, highlighting the value of working together, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another to achieve common goals. Advocacy for Patients: Nurses advocate for their patients' needs and rights, reminding us to use our voices for positive change and to stand up for those who cannot advocate for themselves. Emotional Intelligence: Managing their own emotions while providing support to patients and families, nurses demonstrate the importance of empathy, patience, and understanding. Commitment to Service: Nurses often sacrifice personal time to care for others, inspiring us to contribute to our communities and reinforcing that true fulfillment comes from serving others. #nurses #nursingtraining #nurserespect
