I believe EVERYONE - children and adults - benefits from learning how to embrace your creativity and find your voice. It's not just painting a picture or writing a poem - it's learning how to think and express yourself and your ideas. How to question the world, stay curious and make connections others wouldn't. How to appreciate originality and spot opportunities to do something different. Without creative thinking, so many of the world's innovations wouldn't have happened, and the world would be less diverse, less efficient and less beautiful. The government have been slowly eroding the funding to creative arts for decades in schools but this is EXACTLY where it should be getting taught. Creativity is essential for maths. For science. For engineering. And for the creative industry too (one of the UK's biggest 'exports', by the way).
