Following today’s announcement, a report will now be prepared by NatureScot for the Scottish Parliament to review in April 2025 before ministers make a final decision. As outlined in Savills recent blog, National Parks can be highly decisive. Whilst there is good evidence that such status can boost visitor numbers, for many businesses the increased red tape negates any such benefit.
