Yesterday, we marked 55 years of MSCI Indexes by ringing the closing bell at the NYSE which is always a nice treat. To help celebrate our committment to investors and ongoing improvements, it is great to share a new search functionality within our indexes pages. It will give visitors access to more data through a more straightforward navigation. https://lnkd.in/e6WeSUD4 It has been a phenomenal effort from our digital and marketing teams. We revamped and refreshed existing pages and added nearly 900 (888 to exact!) new pages, each covering one of our best in class indexes.

Fresh durian! The mini market near me is now apparently stocking it.🍈 Surely it needs a bigger sign (health warning?) than just "Fresh Durian"... We did try it once in Malaysia but not a second time... We even had to wear gloves so as not to get it on our hands 🧤 Durian was everywhere! In chocolates, ice creams, drinks, cakes, you name it! But not allowed in hotels! While I'm not going to take advantage of their offer (!) I do want to thank the mini market for reminding mme of the great time we had in Malaysia 🇲🇾 ❤️

A timely addition to our thematic indexes range. This new methodology builds on our thematic and sustainability datasets to deliver an index that seeks to capture those companies working towards a sustainable economy and actively engaged in building a resilient future. Karel Capek also popularised the tem robot (from the Czech for serf) and was nominated for seven Nobel Literature awards but never won. One to add to the reading list! I will alsk go and take a look at his other books. It is great to uncover new/old authors who are no longer making the headlines but whose stories still have something to teach and the power to wonder. It does raise the question of how to uncover them? They are not old enough (or traditional enough?) to be covered in the school curriculum and they're too old for book charts which focus on recent publications... Happy 4th July for our US friends and colleagues! A quick read about the US equity market: 1️⃣ Sector Revenues: US IT and Materials sectors generate significant revenue from international markets, unlike Utilities which are more domestically focused. 2️⃣ Thematic Footprint: Sectors such as Communication Services, Consumer Discretionary, and IT are leading in terms of exposure to more technologically advanced themes. 3️⃣ Nearshoring Trends: US companies are shifting their industrial facilities closer to home, with more setups in Mexico than in China, indicating a strategic move towards nearshoring. 4️⃣ Investable Opportunity: The US represents approximately 60% of global market capitalization, surpassing its share of global GDP. 5️⃣ Sector Size: The top five US sectors are each larger than any individual country’s market across both developed and emerging markets, which has implications for investors' asset allocation decisions. #USEquity
