The closest star system to us, Proxima Centauri, is 4.25 light-years away! Proxima Centauri is also called Alpha Centauri C. It is part of the Alpha Centauri triple star system. Alpha Centauri A and B form a binary, slightly farther at 4.35 light-years from Earth. Proxima Centauri is host to several exoplanets, like Proxima Centauri b which may have the potential to host life. Interplanetary station Psyche was deemed ready for launch into space NASA has announced the successful completion of all tests of the interplanetary station Psyche, going into space in August of this year. Now the station is fully ready to launch, and to reach the asteroid Psyche, it should in 2026, according to the website of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA. The asteroid (16) Psyche is one of the most interesting bodies in the Main Belt to study and has only been observed with ground-based telescopes. It is the largest representative of metallic asteroids, which could be the core of a protoplanet or a fragment of one that formed in the early Solar System.

Black Holes Are No Vacuums! While black holes have a strong gravitational pull, they don't suck everything nearby like a cosmic vacuum cleaner. If the Sun were replaced by a black hole of the same mass, Earth would still orbit it in the same way. As an academic I fought for years to change the perception around the idea of citizen science as "just outreach and science communication". Important discoveries are made by people without or "wrong" degrees. Gravitational Waves have very little scientific value because it's just a result of perturbations in space, atmospheric air and ocean's water caused by moving/accelerating celestial bodies. It can't describe nor explain the real nature of Gravity. And we don't need a million-dollar Gravitational Wave Detectors such as LIGO to detect Gravitational Waves on Earth because Gravity is everywhere (not only in space), ubiquitous throughout the entire observable Universe. We can detect Gravitational Waves in the atmosphere and in the ocean's water using only our naked eyes, still/video cameras and seismometers or even microphones in the case of ocean gravitational waves generating sound energy. There are over 170 billion galaxies in the observable universe yet there is also a “future visibility limit”! Objects beyond this limit will never enter our observable universe at any time in the infinite future. The reason for this is that light emitted by objects outside that limit would never reach us. BAE Systems and strategic partners L3Harris Technologies and the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) have been selected as one of three teams to mature technologies in support of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Habitable Worlds Observatory (HWO) mission concept. HWO will be designed to seek out signs of life beyond our solar system and conduct transformational observations of the universe. Its goal is to identify and examine a promising sample of Earth-like planets orbiting other stars to determine if they could show signs of hosting life. What are Pulsars? These are highly magnetized, rotating neutron stars that emit beams of electromagnetic radiation out of their magnetic poles.
