May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge our many mental health partners for supporting our students and their families this school year. Special thanks to our fantastic School Counselors and the School-Based Mental Health workers in our buildings. We are also fortunate to have formed grant partnerships with The Madeline Centre, Horizon Behavioral Health, and Life Push. By coming together as a community, we empower and uplift children’s mental wellness, nurturing a brighter and more resilient futures for all.

World Mental Health Awareness Day is celebrated today. Let's use it to reflect on the scope of inclusive teaching strategies. Reflecting on inclusion and reasonable adjustments in teaching provides an opportunity to refresh our practice to ensuring it is acceptable to the students with diverse study experiences, including those with mental health issues. Below, I've attached the link to some assessment and teaching strategies to support students struggling with their mental health. https://lnkd.in/exMqbVVm

Today is World’s Mental Health Day! Today we celebrate the spread of mental health education, awareness, and advocacy. Last year I was able to execute a 7 day Men’s Mental Health Awareness campus wide campaign. Through my advocacy as a student leader, I was able to create engaging content in hopes of reducing the stigma surrounding Men's Mental Health. My campaign reached 2,000 student viewers and 22 students took the “Here for You” pledge to end the stigma surrounding Men’s Mental Health. It is crucial to recognize that men, just like anyone else, face mental health challenges. Mental health does not discriminate. It's okay for men to express their feelings, seek help, and prioritize their mental well-being. Acknowledging emotions is a strength, not a weakness. Let's change the narrative surrounding Men's Mental Health! Please take a few minutes to watch my "Men's Mental Health Awareness" video I produced for students of Niagara University:
