The Importance of Pansexual and Panromantic Visibility On May 24th, it is Pansexual and Panromantic Awareness and Visibility Day, a crucial moment to reflect on the importance of inclusion and diversity in the social environment. Recognizing and supporting pansexual and panromantic identities is essential to creating spaces where everyone feels safe and respected. Pansexuals differ from bisexuals in that they are open to having relationships with people who do not necessarily identify as men or women, including non-binary people. So much so that the prefix “pan” comes from Ancient Greece and means “all” or “everything”. Panromantic people, on the other hand, do not feel sexual attraction, but they do feel romantic attraction, regardless of gender. Celebrating diversity together we are stronger! #savieasblngoofficial #pansexualvisibilityday #panpride #respectandinclusion #diversity

Inclusion is not a favor; it’s a fundamental right. Let us be architects of a world where everyone’s story matters, where no one’s existence is erased. Let us educate, not alienate. Let us embrace, not erase. Let us be allies, not adversaries. In a world striving for equality, we find strength in our diversity. Let us embark on a journey where every voice matters, where no one is left behind. Today, we focus on the intersection of Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and the rights of intersex individuals. Imagine a world where intersex variations are celebrated, not hidden. Where intersex individuals are seen, heard, and respected. Advocacy efforts should promote social acceptance, legal recognition, and participation of intersex people in decision-making processes. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable world for all, regardless of their gender identity or intersex status. #EndIntersexPhobia #IntersexRightsAreHumanRights #EmbraceDiversity #IntersexInclusion #DiversityStrengthensUs #ProtectIntersexChildren #intersexisbeautiful♀️⚧️ #IntersexRights #StopIGM #intersexrightsarehumanrights #InclusiveSociety #intersexawareness #RighttoBodilyAutonomy #stopcontrollingintersexbodies

🌈 May 17 is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) 🌈 At SMRC, we stand with the LGBTQIA+ community today and every day. We believe in creating a world where everyone can live free from fear and discrimination. Celebrating diversity and fostering inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. 👐 On this IDAHOBIT, let's reaffirm our commitment to respect and value the rights, strengths, opinions, and experiences of all individuals. Together, we can build stronger, more connected communities. Language is very powerful. It can be discriminatory, harmful, and limiting. It can also provide people with the ability to describe their identities and experiences. We should always be mindful of how we communicate with other people. That's why, at SMRC, we embrace the use of inclusive language for LGBTIQA+ people ✨ 💜 The inclusive language guide has been released by Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing to ensure you use inclusive language for LGBTIQA+ people. The guide aims to support public sector entities and their employees. We all have a responsibility to make Victoria a safer, fairer, and more inclusive place for everyone. Read the guide and other resources here: https://smrc.me/3QMiVhW Join us as we raise awareness, promote understanding, and support the rights of everyone, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Did you know we are celebrating Non-Binary Awareness Week from 8th July to 14th July? This week of celebration precedes International Non-Binary People's Day that is observed on 14th July. Non-Binary is a term related to gender identity and expression. The term refers to those whose gender identity or expression cannot be contained within the binary understanding of gender. Non-Binary people, are often discriminated against or disappeared from our mainstream narratives. This can have far-reaching effects and lead to inequity of access to education, healthcare, housing etc. It can also lead to severe psychological and/or emotional challenges. Let's change this narrative, and become allies to the wonderful non-binary people in our lives. Read on to learn what #allyship can look like when it comes to non-binary persons. #nonbinaryawarenessweek #nonbinary #lgbtqia #lgbtqindia #diversityandinclusion #deibmatters

Today marks an important day, not just for the LGBTQIA+ community, but for humanity as a whole. May 17th is recognized as the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) as on this day in 1990 the World Health Organisation (WHO) removed homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. Although we have made much progress, we face significant setbacks too. Currently, 62 UN member states criminalise consensual same-sex relations, either by law or in practice. At least 59 countries have restrictions on freedom of expression related to sexual and gender diversity issues, and in the past two years there has been an acceleration in the enacting and debating of such provisions. We have a long way to go. The theme of IDAHOBIT 2024 is a call for solidarity, and for everybody to unite in creating a world with social justice, where no one is left behind. There are many ways you can support the community, from raising awareness, advocating, education, and challenging discrimination in all forms. https://lnkd.in/grKhQBYV Equal needs to be equal. #Diversity #Inclusion #Equity #loveislove

As a leading educational institution, UPEACE is proud to commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. This year's theme, 'Leave No One Behind: Equality, Freedom and Justice for All', underscores the critical need to build a society where all people are respected and valued equally, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. According to a 2023 global survey by the Pew Research Center, 67% of people across 27 countries say homosexuality should be accepted by society. However, the same survey found that 1 in 4 LGBTIQ+ individuals have faced harassment or violence due to their identity. At UPEACE, we reaffirm our steadfast commitment to inclusion and human rights. We are dedicated to fostering an environment that places inclusion, respect, and dignity at the center, where all members of our diverse community can thrive. By standing together and amplifying the voices of the LGBTIQ+ community, we can work towards a more just, equitable, and inclusive world for all. #DayAgainstHomophobia #DayAgainstTransphobia #DayAgainstBiphobia #LGBTIQ+ #Equality #HumanRights
