SRS Adopter Golding Homes has published its ESG Summary Report 2023 against the Sustainability Reporting Standard for Social Housing (SRS). On Adopting the SRS earlier this year, David Hart, Director of Finance and Procurement at Golding, said: "The SRS framework will support us to focus on affordability, carbon emission and energy efficiency, safety, equality, diversity and inclusion and the customer voice." This report highlights the housing association's ‘Making Golding Greener’ objectives and commitment to tackling its biggest sustainability issues; including transitioning away from fossil fuels, improving the energy affordability of its homes, building future-proof new homes and managing its green spaces in a way that’s better for wildlife and the health and wellbeing of its customers. Madaster UK is delighted to be supporting ReLondon in their new initiative, funded by Rambøll Fonden / Ramboll Foundation, defining a circular economy metric for incorporating into the planning system, asset management and procurement for public and private asset owners. We are proud to be contributing in three ways: 1️⃣ Our Managing Director, Andrea Charlson, will be sharing her expertise, providing strategic and technical insight into the shaping of the metric and target as part of the advisory group 2️⃣ The Madaster circularity metric will be evaluated alongside other options 3️⃣ We will make our platform available to the testing group to simplify the process and help collate the information from across all the projects. In our annual analysis, companies within the Robeco Sustainable Property strategy remain better positioned to comply with Paris Agreement decarbonization targets, but the whole sector must accelerate efforts. In our annual data review of metrics on Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions target setting, embodied carbon and green leases, we found continued progress in data disclosures and target setting. The companies reviewed were those invested in the Robeco Sustainable Property strategy, and the top 200 largest listed real estate companies.
