Recently married and was looking for gainful employment in an industry that I would be able to advance in. 2. What is the most rewarding part of your occupation? B: Watching people develop and succeed while going on to further their careers. 3. Is there a specific moment or experience in your career that encapsulates your passion for what you do? Early on realizing that what we do, and supply is going into someone's dream that will keep their family safe and sound. 4. Who or what inspires you? The passion of the people I work with inspires me every day. 5. How has being a MBSA member impacted your experience in the building supply industry? The networking is the best. We all pull on the same side of the rope so getting to know others and sharing ideas is wonderful. 6. How do you spend your time outside of work? Is there anything in particular that you enjoy doing? I like to golf but spending time with my family including my 6 grandkids is the best! 7. What are some important/notable trends that you have noticed in the building supply industry? There are many. Smart homes and how they function are an important part of new construction. Also, with the introduction of information and shows like HGTV, consumers are more educated though their expectations aren't always realistic.

Site Selection magazine has ranked Jackson, Tenn., No. 8 on its list of 2023 Top Metros - Tier 3, which ranked communities with populations over 50,000 but under 200,000 based on the number of industrial projects announced in 2023. Jackson was tied for eighth place with several other communities, including Cleveland, Tenn. In Fiscal Year 2023, Jackson announced one new company location and six company expansions, bringing in 747 new jobs and over $447 million in capital investment. "This recognition reaffirms Jackson's position as a prime destination for businesses seeking to thrive and expand,” stated Mandy White, Chief Economic Development Officer at the Greater Jackson Chamber. “Our community's collaborative spirit and strategic initiatives continue to attract investments, driving economic vitality and creating opportunities for our region." The annual ranking, conducted by Site Selection magazine, assesses communities based on their prowess in drawing investments, utilizing a comprehensive 10-factor index. Wheatsville's Guadalupe location faces closing at the end of 2026 due to the new light rail's placement. "There are several serious challenges facing Guadalupe in the years ahead. The first issue is one that will completely alter the nature of transit along the Guadalupe corridor. Project Connect’s Orange Line will impact all businesses and residents in the North University area, and especially those with frontage along Guadalupe. This transformative project will undoubtedly provide significant, long-term public benefit to our city and its residents. Most cities and towns in North America are functionally insolvent. This is not hyperbole. It comes down to a simple question: Is new development producing enough wealth to fund the long-term maintenance of its own infrastructure—let alone public safety and all the other services that we expect government to provide? Bridle Path Estates at Apple Valley (the “property”), an approved specific plan for up to ±1,102 homes consisting of ±664 gross acres (APN’S: 0472-051-40 & 0472-051-41). Located in the Town of Apple Valley, California, the Subject Property is bordered to the north by Falchion Road, to the east by Chippewa Road, to the west by mountains, and to the south by Tao Road which enters into the southern boundary of the Property. The Subject Property is also located just south of the approved High Desert Corridor a ±63-mile-long “multi-purpose” corridor which includes a high-speed rail combined with features like solar energy, water replenishment, and bikeways that would connect California High-Speed Rail Authority’s planned Palmdale Stations to Brightline West rail service planned between Las Vegas and the Victorville area.
