A long time ago, I was the test and verification department manager at a commercial vehicle OEM. I started and grew the test and verification from a portion of the systems engineering group. This was one of the most satisfying work efforts, and the team was one of the best any manager could have worked with. I was interviewed for the corporate magazine about my thoughts on product quality. Process! Engineering a complex project without a clear process is like trying to navigate a maze blindfolded. It’s challenging, frustrating, and often leads to unexpected dead ends. However, when you implement a structured approach, those daunting projects can transform into manageable tasks. This is even more so in safety and mission critical industries such as #Medicaldevice, #Energy, #Aerospace, #Avionics, #WeaponSystems and #IndustrialAutomation. I remember a particularly challenging project where we had to develop a new product under a tight deadline for a new avionics' product. Initially, chaos reigned.
