Before moving on to coating and marking, we’d like to share some important information about chain maintenance. 🛳️ Chain maintenance is vital for the ship's anchoring systems. It begins with heaving up anchor; each chain link is inspected for abnormalities and cracks. 🏗️ When docked, anchors and chains are stored separately. Chains are checked for wear, and links losing more than 10% of thickness are replaced. The very nature of the materials utilized within the trades are heavy, awkward and most times difficult to place. Manual labor could only go so far. Animal labor such as beasts of burden (oxen and horses) could only do so much also because Norfolk Navy Yard continued to service larger ships over time, which required the use of dry docks. Due to that change, both man and beast’s abilities to perform larger and heavier tasks decreased so cranes became the way of the future. Not All Enclosed Blasting Cabinets are the same   Although an abrasive blasting cabinet is a relatively small enclosed type abrasive blasting system, PanBlast do pride ourselves in extensively looking at ways to value add to our blast cabinet operational features.   Besides the best of breed features we incorporate, two core elements of the PanBlast blast cabinets is the standard internally rubber lined cyclone abrasive separator, this is a small but critical feature to ensure operational service life of the cyclone due to the aggressive cyclonic nature of the abrasives when being classified within the cyclone separator.   A further optional upgrade that we do offer on all of our abrasive blast cabinet models is a full internal rubber lining of the cabinet work area.
