From January to July 2023, the substantial rainfall and subsequent flooding in Yemen had a significant impact, affecting 11,484 households, comprising 80,388 individuals. In response, the Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) cluster promptly deployed emergency teams to evaluate the situation across all 147 districts within the 18 governorates that were adversely affected by the rainfall and flooding. Among the beneficiaries of in-kind assistance from RRM, 65% were individuals who had suffered from the flooding. Throughout the period of severe weather, RRM provided assistance to 11,449 families, totaling 80,143 individuals. In a broader context, the RRM cluster extended its support to a total of 17,733 households, encompassing 124,131 individuals who had been displaced due to both armed conflicts and natural disasters. https://lnkd.in/dGdmhMAG
