We are still weeks away from the end of the Atlantic hurricane season. But it is never too early to realize that over time storms are becoming more frequent and impactful. According to the CBA, the annual economic cost in terms of wind damage and flooding alone of the average storm season exceeds $50 billion in the US. Without a doubt, these impacts will affect the private sector especially in light of insurance and reinsurance carriers reconsidering some of their regional markets.
