Our society has adapted to the idea of drinking alcohol to relax after work. This could be in the form of post work socials or reverting to the bottle at home. If drinking becomes a habit, we may become dopamine-deficient, which could lead to us experiencing low mood. This is just one of the effects that alcohol can have on the brain and there are many more both short-term and long-term. Earlier this week we visited Sky to deliver a seminar on ‘Alcohol and mental health’. The team there understand how important it is to look after the mental wellbeing of the workforce and that alcohol is a crucial part of that conversation. You can find out more about alcohol and mental health by visiting our website. alcoholchange.org.uk #AlcoholAwarenessWeek #Seminars #Training #Workplacewellbeing
