The infrared revolution? https://lnkd.in/etNiBhk8 This study suggests to me that heating with infrared heat radiation (FIR) using an infrared heating panel can contribute to a reduction of infectious aerosols in the air. This is in contrast to traditional methods of heating that actually causes the problem. The study highlights the importance of minimizing air pollution in operating rooms, suggesting FIR as an effective method to reduce bacterial contamination of the outer packaging of sterile items. Statistical analyzes confirmed the significance of the results, with FIR treatment being associated with a low probability of colony formation after controlling for several factors. The researchers conclude that FIR treatment is effective in reducing bacterial contamination on the outer packaging of surgical instruments, which may reduce the risk of infections during surgery.
