These are enabling us to solve problems that were once thought impossible. Weather forecasting, climate modeling, and disaster preparedness are also being improved with supercomputing." There is often misapprehension about the cost of supercomputing being too expensive. Therefor too many companies pass on the opportunity to even give it a try. I cover technology and “old school” manufacturing clients, and this article really captured my attention as so many factory floors, job sites, and mining locations struggle with enterprise connectivity. Great innovation happening here! Have a read. EdgeQ Inc. led by founder and CEO Vinay Ravuri aims to simplify the establishment of private 5G networks with a chip that seamlessly integrates into enterprise settings. Unlike traditional 5G processors requiring heavy customization, EdgeQ's chip works out of the box, offering the ease of use comparable to Wi-Fi. The startup, founded in 2018, has raised over $130 million and plans to make 5G networks more accessible for applications in factories, airports, hospitals, and other environments where Wi-Fi may not suffice. The fund focuses on sustainability, automotive applications, AI, and smart cities. Investment opportunities include cybersecurity, energy efficiency, automotive smart cockpits, electric vehicle technology innovations, AI computing, and IoT applications. The primary objectives are cross-industry cooperation, resource integration, and an ecosystem co-prosperity model with investment partners, all while optimizing investment performance.

Along with the investment, Intelsat CTO Bruno Fromont is joining hiSky’s board of directors as an observer. hiSky said one of the main outcomes of this collaboration will be a solution for the #IndustrialinternetOfThings (IIoT) market. The companies are set to move forward with hiSky’s #HUB #virtualization on Intelsat’s #platforms, using Intelsat’s global #satellite #coverage. The solution is expected to target #industries such as land #mobility, #maritime, enterprise, and government. “Our collaboration and #strategic #investment signify a significant milestone in advancing mobility terminal development and Industrial Internet of Things services globally,” Fromont commented. “By combining Intelsat’s extensive global coverage with hiSky’s #cuttingEdge #IoT #technology, we are poised to revolutionize the landscape of #satellitecommunications solutions.” #STEngineering ’s #venturecapital arm is also an #investor in hiSky with a strategic #partnership with the company."
