Many of us (myself included, when I'm in my own head) hold ourselves to a different standard than we would other colleagues, expecting perfect outcomes every time. When I make an error, the question I try to ask myself is "will this matter in 20 years' time?". Nine times out of ten it won't. The USA Olympic basketball teams demonstrate what the make up of a high functioning work team looks like. A group of individual contributors who are really good at what they do, without too much overlap. A selflessness to help elevate each other, but ready to execute when called upon. A leader that can take the blame for the team, while finding ways to help the team execute more efficiently. Time to develop as a team and a trust in the process to get there.

It was over two decades ago now, as I recall, when the Finance Minister for Indonesia or another SE Asian nation summed up the already-then globally-known "secret-behind-the-US-Fed" paying for the US effective "global policeman" role. Obviously enforcing certain interests globally, for selected major industry leaders, etc. That former secret was, the US Treasuries attracting investments from around the world, *but being paid back in very deliberately ever-smaller US dollars*. So that Finance Minister stated in the interview I read in the WSJ I believe, on the occasion of that SE Asian nation opening a new commodities/ securities exchange that, PARAPHRASE 'Everyone knows the US Fed is deliberately reducing the buying power of US dollars over time, so we will start with US dollars and as volume increases in our new exchange we will slowly implement trading in our own currency and others...' That interview was prior what I described at the time as "tectonic fissures" made during the first two official Obama, (with Biden and Clinton) Administrations. Tectonic fissures specifically into the US Dollar foundation as the undisputed leading Trade and Reserves Currency. One was FATCA, and given space here that's it for now. +++ But that's just what I think might be the case. What does everyone else think? #surveysays

Recently, I underestimated the time needed to complete a report, thinking it would take just one hour quite like in this situation. As the hours passed, I quickly realized my mistakes. Here I leave several tips for people to avoid such cases. 1) You should break down tasks and for it I used Trello to break the report into sections. 2) Then you can focus on critical parts first. 3) There's a possibility to alocated extra time for unexpected delays. 4) All of the things done should be tracked in time and Toggl is a great tool for this. 5) And of course, if there's a chance to reach out to a colleague for technical advice, please do it.
