If you’re a New Zealand Sign Language user, this update’s for you! We encourage our employees to use NZSL, recognising its importance as an official language of Aotearoa. Together with Deaf Aotearoa we developed a training module that gives our people the opportunity to learn 30 travel-related signs, which has been hugely popular with around 400 completing it. When travelling, look out for crew wearing our special NZSL supporter lapel pin. They’re looking forward to a kōrero with you. 💜 #NZSLWeek24
Excited to announce our new initiative: empowering our team with 30 travel-related NZSL signs, fostering inclusivity and communication with the Deaf community. Join us in celebrating diversity! 🤟
Such great work Air New Zealand. Anyone can learn 30 signs, but the impact on people is immeasurable. We love partnering with you on your disability inclusion strategy.
