Genuine passion fuels creativity and innovation. 2️⃣ Prioritise learning and development. When you focus on the art in yourself, it's about getting better than you were yesterday rather than whether you got lucky. 3️⃣ Your Authentic Impact. Focus on the value you bring to others. When your motivation is rooted in art, your contributions are more meaningful and lasting. I'm not saying that awards or fancy client lists aren't important. We're all running businesses after all. And that stuff is 𝘭𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦. But if your core criteria for success is validation beyond your control. Then you're setting yourself up for a fall. I can't control how many awards I don't win. I can't control not being selected for a project. But I can control my actualisation as the artist I want to be. And within THAT lies the power.

Sometimes, all it takes is a spark of inspiration to set us on a path we didn’t know we needed. For me, that spark came from Tanuj, our Strategy & Talent leader, who is passionate about building a skills-based organization. I decided to test this not just in my professional life, but in something personal—learning how to swim. It was on my bucket list for the longest , and end July 2024, I took the plunge, both literally and figuratively. The journey has been nothing short of transformative. At first, the water felt unfamiliar, challenging, and even a bit intimidating. But with each swim, I discovered something remarkable: the more I committed, the more I learned, and now I can swim for an hour, feeling completely immersed in the rhythm of water & being at peace . What once seemed daunting is now one of my greatest joys. This experience has shown me that just as we can acquire new skills in our personal lives, we can do the same in our careers. With the right mindset and a willingness to learn, we can reach places we never imagined. They are the keys to unlocking new parts of ourselves personally & professionally. And the ecosystem of support formed naturally, my manager & colleagues in the team - Shilpa Shah, Sohrab Singh, Gemma ,Deepti , Brent , Charmain , Ella , Min & many others checked in with me on my progress & helped me address internal fears . It is magical when you know you have people to help you in the journey. Whether you're starting a new job, venturing into a completely new field, launching a new business, or scaling an existing one, success requires grit, resilience, and a great mindset. The path forward is often filled with hurdles, but these challenges are not roadblocks; they are stepping stones to success. Thankfully I have had ACA believe in my growth by giving me many opportunities to grow, learn, and develop. I got to lead new hire orientation on Monday which challenged me to get out of my comfort zone and grow. It was well worth seeing all of our new hires and seeing them take there first steps with our company. I cannot wait to see how far they go. My Challenge to You: Think about an area where you’ve been hesitant to take action. Is there a project, skill, or opportunity you’ve been avoiding? Today, commit to facing that challenge head-on.
