Our last webinar and many phone calls to investors made one thing clear: people want to hear directly from our farmers. Here’s your chance. This coming Monday, May 27 at 12:30pm, we're holding a webinar that will feature a chat with our favourite farmers, Michi and Aidan (if he can carve out the time from farming) of Home Stand Produce. Michi and Aidan live the farm and food waste experience. We’ve worked with them for more than two years and they produce our delicious ginger and honey. Good & Fugly co-founder Jonathan Englert will lead a deep dive into their farming experience around food waste, the state of supermarket rejection and other farm challenges, and how Good & Fugly works as a solution both for their bottom lines and food waste. You won’t want to miss it, so sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gHHTuJJe And if you haven’t invested yet, don’t wait, time is running out to join us as a shareholder on the journey: https://lnkd.in/dhQPSE3i Always consider the general CSF risk warning and offer document before investing

🌱 National Cooperative Month Member Spotlight: Dane Sanders, PCCA Board Member, District 4, Floydada, Texas 🌾 "There's something to be said about having ownership of my crop from the time I plant the seeds until it's sitting in the warehouse or on its way to the end user. So, whether it's on the farm, at the local gin, at PCCA, the warehouse, or with PYCO the oil mill—whatever profits are generated there, I share in those by being a grower-owner." ~ Dane Sanders Dane Sanders embodies the cooperative spirit that agricultural co-ops are built on. As a grower-owner, Dane and so many others are directly connected to every part of the process—from seed to market—and share in the success of those efforts. At the TACC, we are proud to support members like Dane, who show the strength of cooperation in action. 🤝 https://buff.ly/47XsiCZ

I am attending Farm Foundation's virtual conference that focuses on Agricultural Policy, Economics, and Diverse Farms & Farmers. This morning's power has touched on so many things, but what resonated with me the most is what was shared by Ryan Locke "The business of Agriculture is a relationship based business." As we work to increase representation of Black Farmers in supply chain and in business, it's important that we don't negate this truth. At no point in Agriculture is the work transactionally based. It starts with relationship: the connection to the land, the animals, the actual production -- all of that is relational. Relationship is directly tied to trust and business, despite how much we'd like it not to be, moves at the speed of trust. Trust is built over a period of time! If you're working in Agriculture - we must commit to honoring the culture of Ag. The cultivating of relationship, building trust with people that we may not have directly harmed yet we all know have been systemically harmed for generations, and agreeing to move at a pace that the producer and company can agree is mutually beneficial. #Equity #agriculture #Trust #FarmFoundation

🌾🚜 Supermarkets, Australian agriculture and the power dynamics between them - Farm Writers' Association of NSW's lunch on Friday created quite a stir! Highlights video below👇. Emma Germano from VFF and Mick Keogh from ACCC were in the hot seats. Emma challenged the narrative blaming the supermarket duopoly for both low farm gate prices and high prices for consumers. With ACCC currently undertaking an enquiry into the supermarkets, there's a lot to unpack on the complexities of the agricultural supply chain. What are your thoughts on this issue? Let's keep the conversation going! 🌱🛒 #NSWFarmWriters #Agriculture #SupermarketPower #IndustryInsights

New thinking and knowledge exchange are a powerful combination but farmer co-operation and supply collaboration are key to maximise it's potential. Do you think the SAOS article offers a fresh perspective ? #workingtogether #knowledgeexchange #farming
We believe that greater emphasis on farmer co-operation and supply chain collaboration is vital for the success of the government’s future Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS).
