A study conducted by AHRQ's Effective Health Care (EHC) Program and published in JAMA concludes that naltrexone and acamprosate can help treat alcohol use disorder (AUD). While both are effective options, naltrexone requires only one pill per day, making it an accessible option that patients are likely to adhere to. Clinicians should engage patients in shared decision making (SDM) when determining the best treatment for AUD. #BetterCare https://bit.ly/3tYrQnU
