SeraNovo’s second showcase highlights the competitiveness of the LiDES platform. Traditional lipid-based formulations tend to suffer from limited drug loading capabilities, in our experience this includes compounds with Tm > 150C and Log P < 6. Glibenclamide fits these criteria and the solubility in lipid excipients is found to be well below 5 mg/mL. SeraNovo’s LiDES platform yields high bioavailability and enables high drug loading (300mg/mL) in lipid vehicles, even for drugs that do not meet the criteria for classical lipid-based formulations.
