San Diego is now home to the first blanket Project Labor Agreement in a major city—this is a BFD. These PLAs are expected to award 111 contracts for $635 million in construction projects, providing workers with good, UNION jobs with better wages, safety protocols and regulations. Congratulations to the San Diego North America's Building Trades Unions and all who fought for this legislation!

When I was younger I had some challenges between going from Linear Math… (+-*/… etc)… into more algebraic abstract math… now granted, I had just moved from NJ to PA and first period teacher was very dissection oriented… but… God and doors and windows… in my efforts of avoiding math… I wound up in Stats in college and symbolic logic… etc. But, really it took me years to better learn myself some… the wholistic thinking and intersection points of plane and linear thinking and abstract system approaches through real life interaction and change management. For instance… is this statement true? 3>7…? It assumes a common language of Value (granted if I had gotten to more advanced, I probably would had other tools)… if you make 3 and 7 a fraction… 3/ >7/1…. We need context… if you had two apple or peach pies… the apple (3) was 10 pounds vs the peach (7) was .5 pounds… My point in this… whomever sets the plane or context common language… controls the Valuation… So… if I’m job seeking… I can negotiate a salary’s, benefits, stock options… can I negotiate a right to get trained? A right for opportunity for progression? How does merit enter? It would behoove me to train and such…. The work of better

My union the IUEC colludes with contractors to haze out black people and women. They commit nationwide title VI fraud and blackball anyone brave enough to speak up by meeting with other union officers slandering us to our previous unions. The public sector has been traditionally where minorities that have been illegally bullied out go to work without the public sector jobs where do we have to go?

Good work San Diego BCTC! However, I LA has had a PLA for the past ten years, and Los Angeles County has a county wide agreement now, too! Not city but the whole county!
