Here’s a payments product I’d happily pay 1c per payment transaction for. Yet, I don’t think there is a company out there that does it all. Requirements: - A plug-and-play checkout UX - that has the quality of Shopify or Stripe Elements - that is hyper-compliant by region (e.g. payment cards on top in Sweden, scheme selection for cobranded cards) - that allows me to set contractual rules (e.g. exclusivity deals with a BNPL provider so no two BNPLs can show up side by side) - that allows flexible layouts for pay now / pay later - that allows incorporating gift card input and stored payment method selection - that dynamically uses AI to present the payment method that is most likely to succeed - and a conversion-optimized card form that does not require me to be PCI compliant - allows free placement of legal copy (t&c, privacy policy, etc) - allows code-free A/B testing of both payment methods AND card schemes - fully stylable in all respects - fully native mobile SDKs that are small in size and controllable without an app release - agnostic of any PSP, orchestrator, or other gateway. Just the UX as a pluggable module. All of this should be such a commodity yet every marketplace I know either plugs in a UX from their only PSP, builds their own, or relies on less-than-ideal solutions from third parties. No company does this out of the box in a no-code/low-code fashion. I’d happily pay more than 500k EUR per year for this. Why does this not exist?

Looking for a quick and easy way to accept payments on your website? Adyen's Web Drop-in solution is the perfect choice for businesses of all sizes. Get started in minutes with a pre-built checkout that supports all major payment methods. Want more flexibility and control over your checkout experience? Adyen's Web Components solution gives you the power to customize your payments UI to match your brand and business needs. No matter which integration method you choose, Adyen makes it easy to accept payments online and grow your business. Adyen is a payment processing company that offers a variety of services, including a payment gateway for online payments. They have two pre-built UI solutions for accepting Adyen payments: Web Drop-in and Web Components. Web Drop-in is a quicker and easier way to integrate payments into your website. It is a pre-built checkout that shows all the payment methods in a collapsible list or accordion. Web Components provide you with greater flexibility over how your payments UI is shown. This integration method requires more frontend development work, but it gives you more control over the look and feel of your checkout. The best integration method for you will depend on your specific needs. If you want a quick and easy way to add payments to your website, then Web Drop-in is a good option. If you need more flexibility and control over the look and feel of your checkout, then Web Components is a better choice. Here are some additional details about each integration method: Web Drop-in: Quick and easy to integrate Pre-built checkout with all major payment methods Can be customized to match your brand Less development work required Web Components: More flexible and customizable Each payment method is configured individually Can be placed anywhere on your website Requires more development work Ultimately, the best way to decide which integration method to use is to consider your specific needs and requirements. If you are not sure which method is right for you, then you can contact Adyen for more information. Boosting Checkout Efficiency: Proven Strategies for Enhancing Shipping App Performance 🚀 Hey fellow #shopify folks! Checkout performance plays a pivotal role in driving sales for merchants, and we understand its significance. That's why we're committed to optimizing the checkout experience of your shipping app. Here are six best practices to improve your app's performance and ensure blazing-fast return shipping options (< 500ms) every time: 1️⃣ Store carrier retail rates internally Don't let your app's responsiveness be at the mercy of carrier backend performance. Store carrier retail rates internally to avoid delays and deliver a seamless checkout experience. 2️⃣ Cache carrier rates Create a caching layer to store dynamic or merchant-specific carrier rates. By leveraging caching, you'll reduce external calls and boost response times. We recommend following these steps: - Analyze the response data to external calls in your system and identify patterns across various use cases. - Store responses to similar requests within the memory database (such as Redis) to guarantee fast retrieval when new requests come in. - When requests hit the cache consider making an external request in the background to validate accuracy and update the cache with new information if required - Analyze your cache hit and miss ratio and frequency of response changes for the same requests. 3️⃣ Parallelize calls to external systems When external calls are unavoidable, maximize efficiency by making parallel calls to carriers. With optimized parallelization and timeout strategies, ensure fast response times without blocking checkouts. 4️⃣ Set timeouts for external systems Avoid checkout blockages caused by slow response times. Set internal timeouts to cancel requests to external systems that fail to respond promptly. Keep the flow smooth with a subset of rates returned. 5️⃣ Optimize hosting for lightning-fast service Don't let server latency impact your shipping app's response time. Assess hosting options and consider migrating closer to Shopify servers or utilizing optimized infrastructure. 6️⃣ Implement backup rates for fail-safe checkouts Ensure a seamless experience even when external partners experience timeouts. Create a backup system for your app, providing quick access to alternative rates. Our recommendations guarantee reliable checkouts. By implementing these best practices, you'll enhance the performance of your shipping app, delighting merchants, and boosting their conversion rates. Share your feedback with us and let's revolutionize the shipping experience together! Let's drive more sales and create happier customers! Share your thoughts and experiences with us in comment section down below 👇✍️

E-commerce growth strategist/consultant - I help ambitious brands accelerate their E-commerce on Shopify(plus). Grow your e-commerce business, and book a FREE 30-minute call.
Shopify (the world's best-converting checkout) + Adyen (a global, unified payment solution for enterprise commerce) = a rock-solid combination for enterprise brands that want to scale globally rapidly. It's no surprise that Adyen is now closely collaborating with Shopify as a preferred enterprise payments partner. Monday, we gathered at Adyen's HQ with the Shopify partner community to discuss the most important new features in Shopify's Winter Editions (thanks for the deep dive John Roberts) and take a close look at the launch of Adyen's new payment app, directly on the Shopify Payment Partner Platform. More info about the new Shopify x Adyen integration will be coming very soon, but what matters is that it will allow large/enterprise brands to solve payment complexity, easily create local financial entities to manage multicurrency financial streams, and offer their consumers a seamless checkout experience globally. Thanks for hosting Mel van Lieshout and Boris Lindgren! Are you curious if Adyen is the right fit for your brand? Contact me.
