Parking lot exit sign at Tampa’s Messiah Lutheran Church. As their service ends and individuals leave the church parking lot, a powerful reminder resonates: "You are entering the mission field." This statement carries profound meaning, urging everyone to recognize that their faith extends beyond the walls of the church and into the world around them. Every day presents an opportunity to embody the values of love, compassion, and service, preached within the church by Pastor Mark Adrian. That the mission field is not just a distant place; it is the neighborhood, the workplace, and the community where everyday interactions occur. Each person can have influence by spreading kindness and understanding in their daily lives. Individuals leaving Messiah Lutheran’s church parking lot, embracing the idea of entering the mission field can inspire a commitment to service and compassion. It is a reminder that living out one’s faith happens every day, in every interaction. Recognizing the suffering face of Christ in all we encounter. Together, by spreading love and kindness, everyone can help create a brighter and more caring neighborhood, community, and world. Dorothy Day Tampa – mission field laborers.

The approaching anniversary of October 7th brings a solemn reminder of the ongoing pain and loss experienced by the global community. The reverberations of that day continue to bring more communities and people into an expanding conflict. As we know from the Peacemakers in Action Network, even in the midst of war, there are people and organizations in active conflict zones that continue their work to foster lasting peace and dialogue across differences. They rarely make headlines, but their works for peace ring loud, and Tanenbaum amplifies their call. Below are resources to foster respect across communities and support each other in times of crisis. While the future is uncertain, we know there are people and organizations who hold a vision for communities of mutual respect. Together, we can, and we must see beyond conflict to create the conditions for a collective and lasting peace. We invite you to check out our resource which includes a non-exhaustive list of organizations bravely promoting dialogue and support for those affected by this ongoing conflict. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dUqybMmM
