APPLYING FOR JOBS ONLINE - MULTIPLE TIMES It serves no purpose to apply for the same job numerous times online. Numerous being 18 times in some instances, honestly. When you apply/submit your CV to a position advertised online, most job portals will advise that you have SUCCESSFULLY APPLIED for said position. We then get a NOTIFICATION that we have a new applicant - both on the portal and via email. The application/CV simultaneously APPEARS in the designated email inbox. We know you have applied and will prioritize viewing that application as soon as we possibly can. Now, imagine this happens multiple times PER applicant 😭 With only so many hours per days, only two eyes, 10 fingers, one keyboard, one mouse, we really are trying our best to work each position with the urgency and thoroughness required, giving each application the necessary attention it deserves, including feedback. Please , let's work together to make the experience a good one. Applying multiple times just steals so much of the day. You only need to apply ONCE !

Little-known tip that could prevent you from securing a better job. Did you know that if you don't include the city as part of your address on your résumé, most applicant tracking systems will find a city from elsewhere in your résumé (e.g., where you went to university) and add it as your place of residence? This can hurt your job search. Like or share if this is news to you.

NO COMPANY WILL ASK MONEY FROM CANDIDATES. There are fraud people cheating money from job seekers by using fake websites or portals like Linkindias.com, Jobssearchassistant.com ([email protected]), Trueworld.co.in ([email protected]), Linkupcareers.com ([email protected]), etc etc The people will first ask you to do a registration of some amount (₹ 3999/- or ₹ 4,999/- or ₹ 6,550/- ) depending on your urgency of job requirements, saying that they have job or premium opportunities from some reputed companies as per your profile. Once you do a registration they will ask you to fill up some forms & do some spoofing (fake HR screening call) saying it’s HR from reputed company & later they will start asking for money saying for Professional Portfolio, Bio pic, BackGround checks or verification, etc etc. Please do not be a victim of Job scams. Please report to the Police station if you are a victim of such Job scam…..

Sunday morning advice to jobseekers. Should not need saying but... When answering questions during an application, (such as qualifying questions on LinkedIn), if you do not answer honestly and accurately, you have evidenced yourself as dishonest. If you feel that you have to lie from the initial application to get to the next stage or be considered, then you should realise that you do not offer what is being sought. Or if you do not realise this, then ask yourself, "Would you employ someone who you know has been dishonest from their very first contact with you?" We do not consider such applications and they are instantly dismissed from the process.

Free advice to job seekers: It's really easy to "apply" to jobs on LinkedIn, but that just means that I get a million "applications" where I don't know if people have taken the time to learn about me and my firm. My advice: It is MUCH more compelling to include a line or two about how your experience or interests fit with the job. Show you have done a little homework. And if you are not in MN, tell me you want to be in MN! Otherwise, PASS.

'Get noticed by top employers.' Don't fall for this statement. You must have created your profile page in dozens of job consulting websites and job portals already. Think before you create a profile in one more job portal. If possible stop doing it. Choose one website where you post all the details and direct all employers to that site with your shared URL. No companies are searching for CVs. There is no point in creating profile in any of these websites, be it, Reed, LinkedIn, Monster or any of that sort. Even after creating a profile page in these websites, employers want you to upload your CV in PDF or Word format and create your profile page in their own websites or career sites. No employer visits any of these sites to search for a candidate. On the other hand, job applicants are encouraged, in other words convinced, in other words brain washed, to create a profile in these websites and forums. All these portals and job consulting websites build a database and sell their indigenous products such as employability courses and resume preparation services to make profit. They often sell data to companies. Beyond which job aspirants also get frequent notification requests to upgrade to a premium membership that is useless. Therefore, by ignoring this statement, the time and energy that you spend on creating your profile in 100s of job consulting website can be saved. After all, most of the jobs posted in these websites are old and not are responding to new applications.
