Brake Safety Awareness Month Meets Back-to-School Season! 🛑
As we start the new school year, Loveland Excavating and Paving is doubling down on our commitment to safety—both on the job and on the road. With the hustle and bustle of school buses, students, and parents returning to their routines, it’s crucial to ensure our vehicles are in top shape. (Thank you Jerry and Rodney, our amazing in-house mechanics, for always keeping our vehicles in great shape.)
Why Brake Safety Matters:
Prevents accidents in busy school zones 🚸
Ensures safe stopping in unpredictable conditions 🚦
Protects the lives of students, parents, and workers alike ❤️
We’re reminding all our team members, partners, and community to take the time this month to check their brakes. Regular maintenance is key to keeping everyone safe as we hit the roads for another school year.
Safety First, Always! Let’s work together to make our roads safer for everyone.

It has been a busy couple of weeks for us beginning quite a few of our ground-up projects for the summer. This may not be the most glamorous side of our work but one of the most critical to make sure we start the projects off strong and stay on schedule right from the beginning. Nothing like getting some dirt moving for a brand new #wendys in Elkhart, IN. #builtbyacme
As we overhaul our steep driveway this week, removing cracked sections to lay down a fresh, solid layer of asphalt, we see a powerful metaphor for our own process at Kinetic Talent.
Look, all of us need maintenance and upgrades every once in a while, don’t we?
Just like renovating a driveway, we continuously examine our knowledge and practices, identifying areas that no longer serve us well.
While most of what we have is sound and useful, some places need maintenance. Often, it's just patches that require a fresh approach, connecting seamlessly to the solid structures on either side.
As you see the transformation in action, think about what might need refreshing in your own practices. Are there cracks forming around stress points? Are the cracks multiplying or becoming wider? Don’t wait until the whole thing becomes weak!
Join us in laying down a solid path to success, built on diligence and innovative research. Remember, continuous improvement isn't about overhauling everything; sometimes, it's just about refining what we already know to serve us better.

The SDV Construction team, alongside the Mayor of Rio Rancho Gregg Hull and AGC and SEA, had the honor of hosting author Jenny Kerr Schroen who flew from Maryland to inspire over 150 students with the timeless lesson that ‘Grit Leads to Greatness’. Through the lens of superheroes, the book emphasizes the vital role of trades in our communities, igniting young minds with the power of possibility. 🛠️🏗️
“Grit Lead to Greatness draws in both children and adults to the world of construction through secret passageways, snowboarding, volcanos, water slides, and rollercoasters. By telling a creative tale, one that puts kids in the shoes of the protagonists, they can begin to see reflections of their current world and the not-so-distant futuristic society that could exist if the construction trades are forgotten. Kids are encouraged to find Greatness in their own life by resisting distractions, believing in themselves, and taking action when others do nothing. Most importantly, they can understand in simple terms how GRIT is the cornerstone of a well-lived life.”
