IOTA-3405A/B is a type of addition-cure liquid silicone rubber, specifically designed as a two-component, platinum-catalyzed transparent elastomer. Upon mixing the two components, it solidifies into a soft, flexible material with exceptional buffering properties and moderate adhesive strength. This liquid silicone rubber is made from platinum-catalyzed polydimethylsiloxane, offering a curing temperature range from room temperature to 200°C, and does not produce any by-products during the curing process. This silicone rubber features a solvent-free two-component system, which ensures ease of use and minimal environmental impact. Before curing, the material has a low viscosity, making it easy to process and apply. After curing, it maintains excellent softness and stress resistance, which is crucial for applications that require precise and durable protection of delicate electronic parts. IOTA-3405A/B exhibits extremely low oil permeability and minimal shrinkage post-curing, which helps prevent damage to the encapsulated components and enhances the longevity of the protective layer. This makes it an ideal choice for high-precision electronic encapsulation and filling applications, where protection from environmental stressors, as well as maintaining the functionality of sensitive components, is essential. #LiquidSiliconeRubber #TwoComponentSiliconeRubber #TransparentSiliconeRubber #PlatinumCatalyzed #HighPrecisionElectronicEncapsulation #ElectronicComponentProtection #MoistureResistantSiliconeRubber #VibrationResistant

The occurrence of die wear, also referred to as "die ringing," poses a significant challenge in tablet compression, particularly when dealing with hard and abrasive granules and powders. This phenomenon manifests as a double ring on the tablet due to the upper and lower punch tips flexing during compaction. If left unaddressed, die wear can lead to severe tablet problems like capping, delamination, and heightened ejection forces. To mitigate die wear effectively, consider the following strategies: - Utilize specific zones within the die bore to effectively manage wear during the compaction process. - Opt for harder and wear-resistant die materials, such as tungsten carbide inserts, to enhance durability and longevity. By carefully selecting materials and making design adjustments, it is possible to minimize wear, prolong the lifespan of equipment, and enhance production efficiency, ultimately resulting in the production of higher-quality tablets. Die wear stands out as a prevalent challenge in tablet manufacturing. Not all rubber is the same... In the world of screening, the choice of rubber material is far from trivial—it’s a critical decision that impacts everything from wear life to screening efficiency. The demands of different applications—whether it's scalping, sizing, or dewatering—require materials that can meet specific challenges head-on. For example, in general screening operations, a balanced rubber formulation (like our XR rubber compound) provides just the right mix of flexibility and durability to handle varying material sizes and conditions. But in high-abrasion environments, the same formulation may not hold up, leading to premature wear, reduced efficiency, and more frequent changeouts. In these cases, an extreme durability formulation like our XR100 or XR200 is necessary—engineered to withstand sharp, abrasive materials and heavy impact over extended periods. There’s also the challenge of blinding and material buildup, which can drastically reduce throughput and increase maintenance costs. Elastic rubber formulations like our FXR or FXR100 are specifically designed to flex under impact, dislodging materials before they have a chance to block apertures. These kinds of material-specific solutions allow for consistent screening performance, even in applications that are prone to clogging. Selecting the wrong rubber material for the job can result in costly inefficiencies, shorter wear life, and unnecessary downtime. That's why understanding the unique properties of rubber formulations is essential to optimizing performance and ensuring long-term operational success.
