This article is a great, quick read! It's a good reminder that interviews go both ways. With the accounting and finance unemployment rate below 3%, it's still important as ever for companies to sell the job opportunity, company culture, benefits, etc. to a candidate!

OOO 8/24-9/3 | Headhunter for Agency Recruiters/Staffing Sales (Rec2Rec) | Co-Founder of DG Recruit & Recruiter Prep
One thing I've learned in recruiting is that one person's "I would NEVER" is another person's DREAM. It's been so useful in learning not assume that preferences are universal, even if crowds are loud about them. I've run into multiple candidates who, despite what everyone would have you think: - HATE remote work - HATE never cold calling - HATE shops that don't have KPIs - HATE not doing cold business development - HATE base salaries, preferring only commission - HATE when managers are "too soft" on staff/too nice, like hardasses This is why it's great to have workplaces that offer a wide range of options, so people can gravitate to the choices that work best for them. I don't mind companies drawing a line in the sand about their policies - they WILL attract the people that want to work in that type of environment. Assuming all employees want the same thing is silly. Talk to enough people, you'll find ones looking for exactly what that company is offering. One of the things that makes recruiting always interesting and every day different - you meet so many different types of people. Never a dull moment!

Happy Monday Friends! 😊 Challenges for companies hiring right now can vary depending on the industry and location. However, some common challenges include: 1. Talent shortage: Many companies are struggling to find qualified candidates for their open positions, especially in high-demand industries such as construction, technology and healthcare. 2. Competition: With the job market becoming more competitive, companies are finding it difficult to attract top talent and stand out from their competitors. 3. Remote hiring and onboarding: The shift to remote work has made it challenging for companies to effectively hire and onboard new employees, as they need to adapt their processes and ensure a smooth transition. 4. Retention: Retaining employees has become a challenge for many companies, as employees may be more likely to explore new opportunities or leave for better offers in the current job market. So, what can you do to avoid making such costly mistakes when hiring? Interested or want to learn more? Let's chat! ph. 844-506-9358 email. Bonnie Dilber is a recruiting manager with nine years of experience, she understands that companies want to hire top talent that will grow with them over time. Because of the ultra-competitive job market, the smallest things can prevent you from getting hired. It's expensive to hire and train someone — companies hope to hire someone who will stay long-term. Also, it's especially concerning for companies if someone applies for a job that they're overqualified for — they might think the candidate will leave soon. If you're exclusively focused on what you're going to get out of the company, like, compensation benefits, and remote work flexibility, the company may think that you don't care enough about that job or the company.
