#Siri is the dumbest AI I use every day, 🤮 and I find that its limitations are clouding the judgment of many, including some top executives. I just had a fascinating discussion with an executive who is not only intrigued by the potential of #AI but is actively experimenting with it. However, he has yet to fully dedicate the necessary time and energy to guiding his team in a comprehensive exploration of AI's strategic implications and operational applications in his organization. Too many other priorities! 🤐 I find that many people's views, including his, are limited by surface-level engagement with tools like Siri or playing around a little on ChatGPT. (As an aside, this June, Apple will announce major AI features with its iOS 18 rollout this Fall. This won't just be a new Siri; how we use our smartphones will also change!) 😲 So don't let your current tools or limited experience with AI narrow your view of what's possible. The question of how human creativity relates to the power of AI is important. It is important for the creatives themselves, but also important for society, as societies are decided by the power of creatives. Many creatives are worried about being crushed by the power of AI and being pushed out of life. The question of whether creatives can survive is a frequently asked question. For many years, Apple provided hardware and software that was on the side of the creatives. The creative industry would be different without the Macintosh and the vibrant idea of multimedia. Now Apple has introduced a new iPad. It is another desirable piece of hardware that will - as almost in such Apple hardware releases - almost certainly open up totally new potential for creativity. It will have even more colours on the screen, an even better camera and even more mobility - as always. It will also have AI and that is essential for Apple this time! However, the advert released for this new product is pure horror. It crushes human creativity - litterally. The advert is a monstrosity. It's clear that the makers don't understand the implicit message. Is it intentional? Is it a signal that Apple believes it can squeeze human creativity into a stupid piece of hardware? I am baffled. I am increasingly convinced that we need to free ourselves from the dominance of US corporations. In the age of AI, we – humanity – will die if we do not succeed in emancipating ourselves from the omnipotence fantasies of the leadership cliques in Silicon Valley! This urgently needed liberation is not easy because the products offered by Apple, Open.AI and Google are so damn good.... We must liberate ourselves from the clutches of AI, or we will all be crushed. This is not just a concern for creatives, as the advert for a new, banal, particularly thin and AI-connected tablet shows. It is a total horror!
