I FORGOT ABOUT A VERY BASIC RULE. Things get hard and busy once you get going. You scramble to find your footing and find solutions to problems. As a lone founder you wear so many hats that it’s easy to forget where your real skillset is. I almost lost sight of the thing I not only love the most but love DOING the most. Which is SALES. I live for it. It’s also the thing I’m best at. Never again. Don’t start a business based on something you love.  A mistake a lot of first-time founders make is building a business around a product they like or a subject they’re interested in. If you love what you’re selling, it’s easy to miss the red flags. Personally, I love pool, but that doesn’t mean I'll be selling cues anytime soon. You need to be passionate about your business. You need to be interested in the day-to-day problems of that business. However, whether or not you love what you’re selling has to take the back seat.
