It’s with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of our former employee and good friend Geoff Kitchen on the Singapore Airlines flight that was hit by severe turbulence. Geoff was instrumental in the growth of the Acturis system in the early days and is fondly remembered as a warm and caring individual by all of us at Acturis and our partner customers alike. Geoff joined us from Axa in the very early days of Acturis and, as was the case back then, worked on a number of different projects including the design of our first commercial etrade products. He then worked on the broker sales and implementation team supporting our first broker clients. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and their family.
Devastated to have lost our very dear friend, Geoff. We feel privileged to have had him in our lives, laughed with him, cried with him even, and travelled with him extensively. The fun we have had over the last 45 years is etched in our memories. Rest in peace our wonderful friend. You’ve made a big impact in this world and in our lives and I can’t imagine a world without you in it. Work begins now to help Linda, Anna and Stuart, and their families, to deal with tragic loss. wendy and Bri
He was our Branch Manager in Bristol for AXA for many years - a great guy to have on the team. Condolences to the whole family.
My heart sank when I saw Geoff’s face on the news this morning. Geoff was a pleasure to deal with in our early years of working with Acturis and an absolute gentleman in the way he dealt with people. He will be remembered very fondly by many, many people. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and ex colleagues.
So sorry to hear this sad news, I remember well the contribution Geoff made to ensure a smooth transition for our staff when Jelf moved to Acturis in 2006. A lovely man who I know will be great missed by his family and all who knew him. Jerry
Oh such sad news. Geoff was instrumental in our migration to Acturis many moons ago. He was a fantastic chap and true gentleman he will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to his family.
Geoff was instrumental in my Brokerage changing from Open GI to Acturis, was very knowledgable and helped us greatly. Deepest condolences to his family at this very sad time. RIP Geoff
Really sad news. I remember working with Geoff at Acturis, in particular that he was kind and good to talk to. Deepest condolences to his family and I am sure many friends.
A proper leader and gentleman fully deserving of all the great comments I've read since this awful news surfaced. Geoff convinced me to leave the safety of Provincial and set up AXA Bristol with a small team in the corner of Queen Square. I can fondly remember the early starts picking him up on the way to sign up brokers further up the A38. Great memories of that time. Thank you Geoff.
Can still see him pulling up to car share with me to meetings… a speedy Hyundai Coupe, was it? Ah, so long Geoff, and sending love to Linda. Heart sank when I opened the news headlines today, haven’t chatted with him in 13 years… yet I recognised him instantly. What a smiler! 💔

5moI was stunned thismorning to hear Geoff's name on the radio news and to then see his picture in The Times ..confirming my worst fears that the Geoff they referred to was indeed the man I had the privilege of working with in the very first years of my broking career . His approach to clients & professionalism set the bar to which I aspired to achieve throughout my working life .Thank you for all yiu taught me.
