Sometimes, customer conversations help refine your product’s value proposition in surprising ways. After initial discovery sessions with the CFO of a mid-layer NBFC, we were directed to the CTO. Initially - it felt like he was avoiding the meeting, likely due to some preconceived notions. After several follow-ups, we finally had a tech discovery call. The CTO opened up and said “I’ve met many vendors in the regulatory and finance reporting space. They all promise low-code, pre-packaged solutions – Just give us your data in our format, and it will all work. What they overlook is the repercussion of losing control on data and the headache of building and maintaining such transformations “ A complete flip – our value proposition shifted. It was no longer AI powered or Low Code or 10X faster. It was plain vanilla – offering flexibility to let customers keep data in its original structure.
