I am thankful and privileged to be acknowledged as a leading woman in the grocery industry. My achievements would not have been possible without the talented Acosta Team and the exceptional brands of my valued clients.
Love seeing Mee Warren, CFA, CAIA, one of our Global Female Investors Network members, on the front cover of the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management's Women's Leadership Conference. Nice to see Marcia Page as one of the speakers too!
Two of the sessions at the conference that Mee cited as most impactful were on "Failure" and "Disagreement doesn't need to be divisive."
In my experience, both "failure" and "learning how to disagree without destroying relationships" are truly part of the successful journey of life and career. Where success isn't defined by an event but rather by grit, tenacity and an inclusive dialogue that enables us to live the life we all deserve. A journey made much less lonely if we can "find our people" along the way.
My life's work is helping to bring together like-minded professionals, especially those who find themselves as a minority in the workplace. It's my passion and joy!

Sarah Oehler said it all and I agree. Many thanks to everyone involved in making this event a success year after year. Dr. Mercedes Ramirez Fernandez and Marci Page delivered invaluable insights. Check them both out especially MPowered Capital. The sessions on 'Failing' and 'Disagreement doesn't have to be Divisive' were revealing in that we need to reframe/rephrase/pivot the conversation.
And quite the surprise! I found myself on the cover of the Women's Leadership Conference brochure! Being associated with such a powerful event is such an honor, especially one that's sold out - a testament to our collective dedication to embracing women's leadership and I desire for more. Here's to seizing every opportunity to grow and lead with conviction. #csom#Womeninfinance#womenleaders

It’s been 20 years since we first launched our Women’s Leadership Report, highlighting the status of women’s leadership among Michigan’s public companies.
In our inaugural report, women held a mere 9.6% of corporate board seats and just 7.1% of the top-five compensated officer positions. Today, these figures have grown, with women now occupying 26% of board seats and 18% of the highest-paid executive positions.
We’re seeing progress, but we know there is still so much work to do.

Honest feedback is definitely important and crucial to building trust and a culture of continuous growth.
I coach many high achieving women who are craving for feedback that drives them to go to their next level.
Many of them are frustrated because they simply get: “You are doing a good job.
Keep doing what you are doing.”
I had a client that shared that he told his team member that he did a good job at giving a presentation because he didn’t want to discourage him.
That is not of service as a leader!!
Leaders need the courage to give honest and constructive feedback that fosters continuous growth.
There is a way to have those courageous conversations that builds trust and connection.
