If someone had asked me to become a champion for lymphedema awareness, education, and prevention, I would have declined. But when this disease took hold of my right arm, hand, and fingers after my battle with breast cancer, leaving me unable to continue my clinical practice as a medical doctor, I realized the dire need to help others suffering from cancer-related lymphedema.
