Despite a strong economic environment and renewed IPO activity, a number of headwinds continue to exist: - geopolitical risk factors, US elections - poor IPO performance in the last quarters - increased SEC regulatory hurdles for companies going public  - increased federal spending that will soon be priced into the market - interest rate uncertainty (future interest cuts are already priced in) Those factors increase volatility, which hampers successful IPOs. However, there is a window open for the best companies. Athena Capital invests growth equity capital in private companies going public. We favor those with secular tailwinds, attractive margins and cash flow. For the rest, once the clouds of uncertainty lift, coupled with restored confidence and regulatory detente, I expect we will see an explosive deal market - but I don’t expect that epiphany to happen until post-US elections, so likely to be in 2025. It's markedly different from Germany and Austria, making it a unique market where local access is important.
