🌟 Attended an Inspiring Event! 🌟 I just attended an event organized by Google Developer Groups - Women Techmakers Global, titled "From Internship to Directorship: A Decade Journey". The event speech consisted of three major parts: 1. Years 1-3: From Junior to Senior Engineer Chaitali explained how remembering that we are writing code for other humans can significantly shift our programming mindset. She emphasized the importance of learning to communicate effectively from the very beginning of our journey and always staying curious to learn as much as we can. 2. Years 4-6: Work-Family-Me Trifecta She further explained how distributing responsibilities can help you become a good leader and highlighted the importance of maintaining personal and professional interconnection. 3. Years 7-10: Leading, Scaling, and Reinventing Chaitali encouraged us to think thoroughly about ourselves, who we are, and what we want to become in the next decade. She emphasized the importance of resilience and the value of sponsoring and being sponsored by others in our professional journeys. The event was filled with insightful discussions, personal stories, and valuable advice on navigating the tech industry. Hearing about the journey from intern to director over a decade was truly inspiring and provided a wealth of knowledge and motivation. A big thank you to the speaker, Chaitali Narla, and the organizers for such a wonderful and enriching experience! I'm excited to apply the insights and tips I gained to my own career journey. #WomenInTech #TechCareers #CareerGrowth #GDG #WomenTechmakers #ProfessionalDevelopment #WTM

𝐌𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫 ✨ It all started during my freshman year at NITK, when I got to know about the Microsoft Engage Mentorship Program to land an internship at Microsoft. ✨ 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒆 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: After hearing about the program from seniors, I revamped my resume, highlighting key projects and skills. And guess what? My application got shortlisted! 📝 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 1: The first test included 10 MCQs to be solved in 30 minutes, covering topics like Computer Science fundamentals and DSA. 🧩 𝑶𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 2: Next up was a mix of coding, aptitude, and puzzle questions. We had to provide detailed explanations for our answers. 🌟 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎: Clearing both assessments led to my selection for a month-long mentorship. We had to build a project with guidance from Microsoft mentors. I chose a face recognition project and submitted a video explanation and code files. 🎉 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓: I thought my peers had outshone me, and I wasn't expecting much. But to my astonishment, a month later, I received an email from Microsoft offering me a Direct SWE internship! 🗣️ 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒔: Post-internship, I presented my project to high-level managers and team, showcasing the impact of my work and I received positive feedback from them. 🔍 𝐀𝐀 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰: A month after the presentation, I faced a technical-managerial interview. It was a deep dive into my technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and project experience. 🏆 𝑷𝒓𝒆-𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓: Finally, a month after the interview, I received a PPO from Microsoft. It was a moment of immense joy, reflecting the hard work and dedication throughout my journey. From securing an intern role to a full-time job offer, it’s been an incredible journey of learning and growth. Stay tuned for the next post where I will be sharing the details about my interview round.

From Freshman Freaking Out to Future Microsoft Intern! Hey everyone, I couldn't be more stoked to share this with you—it's my very first LinkedIn post, and what better way to kick things off than with some exciting news! I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be joining Microsoft this summer as a Software Engineering Intern! 🚀💻 Honestly, the journey wasn't always smooth sailing. There were times when everything felt overwhelming, and I questioned if I'd ever get the hang of coding. Huge thanks to the Placement Team MIT Manipal for their support and smooth communication throughout the whole process. Shoutout to my amazing support system - family, and friends( you know who you are!) You kept me caffeinated and convinced I wasn't just writing gibberish in the name of code.🙌🏼 I can't wait to dive headfirst into the world of Microsoft, collaborate with brilliant minds, and contribute to the future of technology. Here's to a summer filled with learning, growth, and maybe even a few "hello world" moments that don't involve error messages! #microsoft #Intern #SoftwareEngineering

Here is what I fell in love with, in my tech adventure journey.. As an IT student, entering the world of Microsoft Teams seemed like beginning on a grand mission to conquer the digital universe of cooperation. I bravely went down into the depths of this imaginary terrain, equipped only with a laptop and my determination. My adventure started with a simple invitation to join a team. With a click, I was transported to a hub of communication and productivity. It was like walking into a lively bazaar, where ideas were openly exchanged and chores were completed with precision. As I negotiated the channels, I met a broad group of peers, each with their own set of abilities and knowledge. We collaborated on projects, sharing files and insights in real-time. It was a collaborative symphony, effortlessly choreographed by the wonder of technology. But, like any good trip, there were obstacles along the road. Technical issues and miscommunication threatened to stall our progress. Nonetheless, with perseverance and the help of my colleagues we surmounted every challenge that arose in our path. As our projects came to a close, I was struck by the transformative potential of teamwork, facilitated by Microsoft Teams. What had previously appeared like a scary quest had become an exhilarating journey of discovery and achievement. Finally, as an IT student, my experience studying Microsoft Teams was more than simply a technical lesson. It demonstrated the boundless potential of teamwork in the digital age. #LetsConnect #OpenforInternship #Digitalwitch
