We can all be active allies and fight racial discrimination. Every step counts starting by recognizing the problem exists everywhere because it is universal, because dealing with difference whether it is real or perceived is not what humans do the best. But it does not mean we can not get better. At Accenture, we encourage our people to be aware, present, vocal, and humble. We can all be advocates for inclusion.

In 15 years so far at Capgemini, one of the things that I really appreciate is the fact that out here, "diversity" and "inclusion" are not just corporate buzzwords used casually. Conscious efforts are made to ensure that everyone gets involved in building an inclusive culture, so that we can bring our best selves to work.   For instance, in 2023 we launched Inclusion Circles – a platform where Capgemini leaders can set up open conversations encouraging their colleagues to share their perspectives and experiences. I've had quite a few discussions with my leaders too, on topics ranging from unconscious workplace bias and breaking biases in tech and AI, to the value of #DiversityandInclusion in business. What's so cool is that over 16,000 colleagues have also participated in over 1,200 circles!   I've also heard our leaders share how Inclusion Circles is helping them – in applying an inclusive mindset to their decisions and driving positive actions that empower our colleagues to build more meaningful careers. Today, March 21, we acknowledge International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination — a United Nations day of recognition that aims to foster a global culture of acceptance, equality and anti-discrimination. This day, and every day, gives us all an opportunity to reflect on the inequalities that underpin racism and discrimination and the role we can play in eliminating it. This year, our theme remains "We're acting for racial and ethnic equality. Today and every day." Through our Allies in Action experience, we are educating our people on the importance of creating an inclusive environment with a focus on essential ally behaviors and what it means to be an #ally for everyone. Our ally experience invites people to sign up to learn and grow in their allyship for people of different races, ethnicities and cultural heritages so they can address their own biases and be an advocate for others. Strength lies in differences, not in similarities. Maybe it was one of the most inspiring (and also the longest ☺️) meetings in nearly three years with Accenture so far: presenting & discussing our #diversity & #inclusion strategy for all market units in Europe.
