Congratulations to our client, CH4Global, on the commencement of their Global EcoPark in Louth Bay, near Port Lincoln. CH4 Global is an innovative startup dedicated to making a meaningful impact on climate change. Their mission involves developing gigatonne-scale greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation solutions for global industries and governments. The cutting-edge aquaculture facility on the Eyre Peninsula will facilitate the low-impact, cost-effective cultivation, and processing of Asparagopsis seaweed. This native red seaweed from South Australia will serve as a livestock feed supplement, aiming to significantly reduce methane emissions from cows and sheep by up to 90 percent. CH4 Global estimates that widespread adoption of their Methane Tamer™ feed formulation product, even in just 10% of global cattle, could surpass the climate benefits of decommissioning 50 - 100 million fossil-fuelled cars. Kudos to Julie Jansen from MasterPlan, who led the project through the complex multi-agency approval process.
