Who would of ever of thought that Brazil would be considered to have a more Robust Democratic Society than what we see happening in America. The reality is that the citizens of Brazil have experienced life under a Dictatorship 40 years ago and their citizens truly understand what is at stake and never want to have to experience that nightmare scenerio again. Unfortunately based on the flaws identified by this US commentator within the US constitution, politicians and special interest groups over the decades have normalized corruption to the point of what you see happening today. True Democracy is a form of democracy in which the electorate decides on policy initiatives without elected representatives as proxies. A democracy where every vote counts and the popular vote of the people determine who has be elected as the PEOPLES government. This differs from the majority of currently established democracies like seen in the US which are representative democracies. Direct democracy or pure democracy should not be confused with a democratic dictatorship. Only time will tell, it is said that citizens of a country get the government they DESERVE. 🤔
