Celebrating the opening of ABB's new campus in Mannheim, Germany!🎀 Our new campus was inaugurated in an event joined by Sami Atiya, ABB Executive Committee Member, and Eric Perotti, Country Holding Officer Germany. The campus, hosting 1,200 employees, uses ABB's technology for energy management, and embodies our commitment to innovation and sustainability. A major highlight is our AI-focused research center. Our employees and research students from diverse backgrounds cover critical scientific disciplines. Annually, we generate around 100 inventions through collaborations with universities, focusing on industrial digitization and smart, sustainable electrification. Germany is an important location for ABB. With a long, successful history, Mannheim was Brown, Boveri & Cie’s (BBC) first international location which opened almost 125 years ago — a great legacy that we are proud of and will continue to build on!
I started my apprenticeship at BBC Mannheim in 1983. Wonderful time. After that I wanted to become an engineer, so I did. Maybe I should start there again.
Well done....this is something you may wish to promote within International Sheet Metal Review (ISMR), the world's No1 sheet metal forming and fabrication journal, as well as the ONLY magazine in the world allowed to distribute at the entrances of several leading exhibitions via hostesses including EuroBLECH(15,000 copies) and Blechexpo(9,000 copies). Editorial and ad copy deadlines for the September EuroBLECH Preview issue with BONUS distribution at UK Metals Expo, 34.BI-MU Milan and digital stand at FABTECH USA, are 9 and 21 August respectively!
Congrats ABB on Mannheim opening to build for the future...
I started at BBC 1985 to study Electrical Engineering. I have worked in many locations and buildings - this is definitely the best one 👏- Thank you!
Great working environment with nice facilities in the new campus.. feeling always happy and extra motivated while coming to office now 😊😊🤘🏻🤘🏻
Well done. It is a great stride to embody ABB Technological history in the excellence, innovation and creativity. Opening of ABB's new campus will foster ABB Role in the Innovation and Sustainability. Congratulation to All since a first office of BBC in Mannheim.
