We’re helping to pioneer the first hydrogen-powered train in the US!    The Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train (FLIRT H2) is a cutting-edge regional train manufactured by Stadler in Switzerland. It’s been modified to incorporate a fuel cell, battery and hydrogen fuel supply. Consisting of two cars, these trains house six fuel cells that deliver an impressive 100 kW each. Thanks to our advanced traction systems, the FLIRT H2 achieved a remarkable feat earlier this year: it completed the longest hydrogen-powered passenger train journey without needing to refuel or recharge. With approximately half of its energy sourced from shore power and battery storage, the vessel is poised for eco-friendly operations.
