Our growth commitment is focused on local sourcing and community empowerment, producing products that are local, inclusive, and natural. By integrating traditional and high-value crops, we enhance agricultural value chains, food security, and sustainable practices. The beer industry is key to Africa's future, advocating for better infrastructure, streamlined trade, and community upliftment, fostering a prosperous and interconnected continent. 💥💥💥Can We Tame The Coffee Class C Price? --- ⭐ In Colombia, one of the world's coffee capitals, many of the arable land once home to coffee gradually transferred to banana gardens. ⭐ On April 24, Oscar Gutierrez, the executive director of a farmers' organization, led a protest in Armenia. The protest group includes people representing farms and coffee-growing areas across the country. They gathered together to raise the voices of the farmers and workers working for work. But there are no words. ⭐ Following the farmers' protests, Colombia's agriculture ministry called for a reduction in tensions. The government has also authorized an $80 million subsidy for farmers. But is $80 million enough? For people, they don't think it's enough. The government has tried Part of it ⭐ Coffee industry executives from Brazil and Colombia met in June, a month before the World Coffee Producers Forum, to solve the ongoing price crisis. ⭐ In their joint statements, the leaders will agree on supporting transparency in trade, minimizing the interference of market factors that negatively affect coffee prices. The leaders also openly discussed their desire to seek government intervention and market regulation. Not many would associate Africa with frozen food markets. Even less Mali, landlocked and recently troubled by violence. Yet, a combination of mother nature's gift (the Kent variety, unanimously considered the best for IQF diced mangoes) entrepreneurial spirit by Comafruit's owner and an enormous hard work by Africa Felix Consulting made it possible: frozen Mango Made in Mali has landed on the tables of many European. And its quality has been unanimously praised. The 2023 production has been hoovered by the market in just two months, also given the problems El Nino is bringing to other parts of the world. Now is time to talk to our customers for the 2024 crop, starting in April. Time to build further on the past success. Made in Africa food has enormous potential.

Celebrating the Beer Economy’s Contribution to Africa’s Development Our businesses across the continent are not merely crafting exceptional beer—they are fuelling significant economic growth, generating employment opportunities, and bolstering local communities. The recent report from Oxford Economics, “The Economic Contribution of Beer in Lower Income Countries” (January 2024), highlights beer as a powerful engine for economic development. Africa has on average low per capita beer consumption. The report estimates that if beer consumption increased, the beer sector’s total gross value-added contribution to lower-income countries' GDP could rise 106%, to $71 billion. This surge in beer activities could stimulate 13 million jobs across these economies, marking a 90% increase from the jobs reported in 2019. Currently, the beer sector supports 6.7 million jobs in lower-income countries. The beer sector is significantly more important to the national economy of low-income and lower middle-income countries. In Mozambique for example, the beer sector and its value chain supported 2.7% of the country’s total GDP. Our operations span multiple African countries, and we see first-hand the positive impact our industry has on economic development. From sourcing raw materials to distributing our products, every step of our supply chain supports local economies and fosters sustainable growth. By investing in local talent, infrastructure, and sustainable practices, we are committed to positively impacting the continent. Join us in celebrating the role of the beer economy in Africa’s development. Together, we can create #AFutureWithMoreCheers.
