At Highlight, we work with companies of all sizes. So we couldn't help but notice: emerging brands are doing some things very differently from legacy #CPG companies. One key way smaller startups are nailing innovation and delighting consumers is the way they test with real consumers in their natural environments--early and often, from concept to prototype to post-launch tweaks. Big brands like Nestlé CAN do the same--that's why they've invested in initiatives like the Nestle Accelerator. Product innovation today is not what it used to be. To create truly consumer-led growth, testing is necessary early and often. What else can enterprise CPG brands learn from the little guys? Leave your advice in the comments👇

We are delighted to have Bernard Budiman, our Enterprise Development Lead, share some insights on ESG at Spill The Tech #3 "ESG for Startups: Why Does it Matter?" as part of Digital Hub Collaboration with UK-Indonesia Tech Hub and Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters now more than ever. Effective ESG strategies are crucial for building sustainable futures for all companies, especially startups. So why does ESG matter for startups? 💡 Companies that adhere to ESG standards will stand out more in the business ecosystem. Over the past five years, awareness of ESG importance has significantly increased. This is a moment for startups to attract attention! 💰 Investment trends indicate that many investors are more likely to invest in companies that incorporate ESG values into their business operations 📦 Consumers are also shifting their purchasing decisions based on how products support sustainability, particularly concerning the environment and society 📣 Startups with limited resources can first focus on sustainable sectors they can improve. Once they are sufficiently established, they can expand their focus to enhance other areas. Thank you to Afrizal N. Baharsyah of Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital for moderating the session and Hans Sebastian Diaz of Rekosistem for sharing his views on the importance of ESG. A big shout out to MARKAS INDONESIA for providing a platform for startup community to engage with and learn from each other. Moving forward, let's embrace sustainable practices in business for a sustainable future!

Siam Capital Shows That Consumer Green Tech Is Big Business Sita Chantramonklasri founder and general partner of Siam Capital, is making waves in the sustainability and venture capital sectors. At the Web Summit in Lisbon 2023, she showcased Siam Capital's commitment to investing in technology solutions that intersect sustainability, consumption, and profit. With backing from major players like KASIKORNBANK of Thailand, Siam Capital has deployed over $43 million from Fund I and launched a second fund late last year. Siam Capital’s investments include biotech company Helaina which uses precision fermentation for infant nutrition, and Ecovative - the mycelium technology company which pioneers mycelium technology for sustainable materials. Chantramonklasri's vision and dedication to impact investing stem from her Thai heritage and observations of socioeconomic disparities. Her approach proves that financial returns and positive environmental and social impacts can coexist. The global green technology market, expected to grow from $19.83 billion in 2024 to $83.59 billion by 2032, highlights the immense potential in this sector. Siam Capital’s success under Chantramonklasri’s leadership exemplifies how venture capital can drive sustainable change. https://lnkd.in/exuUHUg7 #Sustainability #GreenTech #VentureCapital #ImpactInvesting #SustainableInvestment #ConsumerTech #Innovation #FinancialReturns #EnvironmentalImpact #SocialImpact #SiamCapital #SitaChantramonklasri #KasikornBank #Helaina #Ecovative #GreenBusiness #FutureOfTech #SustainableGrowth #TechForGood #GlobalGrowth

CVC & Innovation at Maersk Growth | Join the largest career conference for women & allies in the Nordics Oct 26th in CPH
I didn’t think I’d ever be invited to speak about corporate innovation at an event hosted inside a brewery, but then again, yesterday I did just that for the students and alumni at Copenhagen Business School. As a graduate of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship master's program, I joined to share my career journey and how I built up my career working in startups, scale-ups, and now in a CVC of a global logistics company. My goal was to share how innovation processes develop in large organizations and how you can use all of your career experiences to solve problems and create an impact. 📌 Have a solution-focused mindset. Your job is to take the weight off and come up with perspectives and ideas to solve problems. 📌 Ask questions to get as much clarity as possible. This will help you find the right approach and potentially the right solution faster and create more impact. 📌 Be mindful of everyone’s time and don’t create unnecessary situations that move you away from your goal. This applies to both the start-up and your business stakeholders. Your goal is to be the person people rely on to move their roadmap further; always focus on the goal. 📌 Foster a collaborative culture. Innovation thrives in environments where diverse ideas and perspectives are encouraged and valued. Collaborate across departments and with external partners. 📌 Keep the customer at the center of your innovation efforts. Understand their needs and pain points, and develop solutions that provide real value to them. 💡 Bonus: Ask yourself often: Is this (piece of information) adding to the conversation or pushing our focus away from what we’re trying to achieve? Prioritization will take you far in life. ⚡ What else would you add? P.S. Thanks to a great team for organizing, Philip Hulgaard and Anders Buchmann for their cool insights, and all of the alumni and students who shared their feedback. It was a pleasure to spend a Thursday afternoon with you all! Maersk Growth #cvc #innovation #network #community #career #impact
