Happy Africa Day to you
A product or should we say a BRAND is as good as it is valued by its customers.
What does Africa day mean to you? What is the significance of this day to Africa, Africans and the rest of the World? Does it mean the same to all?
I believe a BRAND is as good as it is valued by its customers' endorsement, recognition, buy in, experience and value. What if anything do we value as African about this product called Africa Day.
When 25 May comes, what comes to mind? How do you think it should be commemorated? Should it just be celebrated by staying at home, away from work, resting? Or should we do more?

Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera Mr president send fit diplomats in Tokyo. My clients complained about their laziness and send active ones .You should noticed they have gone ballooned like papayas.
I have advised African communities in Europe on organising events for Africa Day. Similarly, some African communities missions in Japan and Oceania have sought advice on event planning for Africa Day. I recommended they move away from traditional medieval dances and culinary exhibitions. Africa today is about technology and innovation.
I understand many community members have refugee backgrounds and haven't visited Africa recently to see the positive changes. Some feel offended by my advice, but I won't tolerate ignorance. Many still hold outdated views, thinking Africans sleep in trees and watch the moon as their TV.
It's crucial for ambassadors to organise events that showcase Africa's progress, rather than relying on outdated stereotypes. Unfortunately, many African diplomats, with the notable exceptions of those from Rwanda and Zambia, are inactive in Oceania and Asia. For example, Ghana has a consulate, but after six years, no one even knows what the consul looks like in Auckland. No one knows whether the consul is a zebra or a Lion.
There's a "family reunion" forming and it's going to be beautiful. We have so much to discuss and share "...culturally, socially, economically, politically, and educationally". Join us (smile). A complete list of the countries directly related to the Trans Atlantic African Slave Trade (also known as the Atlantic slave trade and Euro-American slave trade) occurring between 1501 and 1867 and may just have evolved into one of the world’s largest group of people related “by the roots”.
