❌ Qual vs. quant is a debate you don't need. From in-depth interviews to online surveys, when considering which method of research will help hit your objectives, think 'and' not 'or'. Harnessing a dual methodology gives you the best of both worlds: ✅ Illuminative, rich detail to uncover ideas and connect the dots ✅ Robust, representative data to guide your decision making To find out how (and when) you can harness the value of both, have a read of Lauren Woodley's new article: https://lnkd.in/ecx9C4s2 #marketresearch #b2btech #b2bmarketing #qualitative #quantitative

Further to my Greenbook article, “The Death of The Survey?: The Future of Surveys in a World of Synthetic Data” (link to article in comments), I chatted with Karine Pepin from The Research Heads about the participant experience and data quality. In yesterday’s clip, Karine spoke about her experiences taking surveys. I followed up by asking Karine about whether the bad experiences were those where the survey was probably written by a non-researcher. Her answer is interesting (close your eyes now market researchers!) and you can watch it in today’s clip. The full interview can be seen on our You Tube channel (link also in comments) along with other interviews in our series with Mike Stevens about #syntheticdata for #marketresearch and Ansie Collier (Lombaard) (D.Phil) about #ConversationalAI. #insights Kathy Cheng Lara Schefers Josh Seltzer

At the end of a week, I like to spend a few minutes thinking about a success story, and how that can translate to/help other companies. This week, the theme is patience, trust and persistence. Our Heurisay team started working with a reporter at a top-tier business publication 2 years ago. TWO YEARS. We introduced the company, set up introductory calls and then shared news over that period. When we had news we knew he would be interested in, we followed up with all the numbers - financials, data, resources. And, when we got the interest/green light, the client was flexible with scheduling, available for the interview (had to travel) and ready to tell the story. (This part is CRITICAL.) #Mediarelations is hard work. It sometimes takes a long time. But, when client/agency are committed partners, the results can be significant.

Matching the responses with Items while developing a Questionnaire In questionnaire development, it's crucial to match the response format to the construct being assessed. The alignment ensures that your data is both valid and actionable. Whether you're using a 5-point Likert scale for attitudes 😊🤔😐😟😠 or a frequency scale 📅 for behaviors, the relevance of the response format enhances the precision and reliability of your findings. For example, measuring agreement with statements on a Likert scale captures the nuances of opinions and attitudes effectively. On the other hand, assessing frequency with a different scale can provide clearer insights into behaviors or occurrences. Remember, the right response format is key to obtaining meaningful data that truly reflects the construct you're measuring. Choose wisely to improve the quality and interpretability of your research outcomes! Here are the examples of the Likert scales share it if you find it helpful #Research #QuestionnaireDesign #DataCollection #LikertScale #SurveyDesign
