🌍 Unprecedented Cyber Outage Shakes the World It's not often that we find the world at a standstill, but today is one of those days. A massive cyber outage has grounded flights, disrupted banks, and silenced major telecoms and media outlets across the globe. This isn't just a technological hiccup; it's a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities in our interconnected world. Early reports suggest the outage is affecting several critical infrastructure systems, grinding operations to a halt and causing widespread chaos. With planes grounded and financial transactions stalled, the ripple effect is immense, impacting millions of lives in real-time. What makes this incident particularly concerning is the extent of the disruption it has caused. Banks are struggling to process even basic transactions, while airports worldwide are dealing with frustrated passengers. Telecom networks are down, making communication a challenge, and media channels, typically the first to report on such crises, are falling silent as well. If you're experiencing the total system failure caused by #Crowdstrike, performing the following to fix it: 1. Boot Windows into Safe Mode 2. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike 3. Locate and delete file matching "C-00000291*.sys" 4. Boot normally. Our condolences to all the IT staff currently getting yelled at.
Dear Diary: Today, I am thankful Australian Cyber Defence does not use #Crowdstrike. Thoughts and prayers to all the IT staff who thought they could knock off early on a Friday. For those confused as to what is happening, a piece of software designed to stop malware from running on computers has malfuctioned, causing the machine it's installed on to get stuck in a crash-loop.

Group CEO CIP. Fellow Cyber Theory Institute. Director Fintech & Cyber Security Alliance (FITCA) working with Governments. NAMED AN EXPERT IN INTERNET ASSET & DNS VULNERABILITIES
Q: What do Transport for London, Capgemini, and Fortinet have in common, other than all three confirming cyberattacks this week? A: They all use the same Insecure Servers on the DNS Blacklist. We informed Transport for London several times since August 2023, likewise Fortinet. Capgemini we have been sharing Threat Intelligence with for several years. If you are a client or customer of these organisations, Please, DO NOT let them play the Victim card. They have suffered cyberattacks because their basic security is ineffective and not fit for purpose. If your new car broke down the dealer might try to deflect blame, but there you are stranded and exposed. The below redacted screenshot is an IPv4 all three organisations (and many more) use which is on the DNS Blacklist. It is on the Blacklist due to being known to be used for nefarious purposes. PDNS clearly is NOT working for these Government and Government supplying organisations. They are placing ALL users, partners, and clients data at severe risk. This week, a 17 year old young man caused chaos to Transport for London with what was more than likely, his exploitation of exposed and insecure Internet Assets from his Walsall bedroom. It demonstrates the wholly unacceptable and insecure positions being maintained at critical infrastructure and government level. Still, it's Saturday tomorrow so everyone can sweep these incidents away like yesterday's Fish and Chip wrapper. Pretend negligence has nothing to do with the shambolic farce that pertains to be security, and carry on regardless... "Every bank is being attacked all the time." "We're engaged in asymmetrical warfare on a day-by-day basis," said Chris Sheehan from National Australia Bank. He sounded the bell on the increasing cyber 'warfare' risk, highlighting that the entire community is at risk. The same words 'asymmetrical warfare' were used by Charlie Bell and Vasu Jakkal earlier this year at Microsoft Ignite. The cybersecurity battlefield is asymmetrical. Defenders are constrained by rules, resource limitations, and the necessity to defend every potential point of failure, while attackers need only find one vulnerability to exploit. This imbalance is further exacerbated by the adoption of AI by cybercriminals, which enhances their capabilities and accelerates their attack strategies. Chris Sheehan describes it further, "These attacks range from attempts to infiltrate bank systems, deny services, deploy malicious code, or compromise security logins." “If it’s not us being attacked, then our customers are being attacked, in an effort to steal their information and their money. There’s no typical demographic. The entire community is at risk.” Australians are still losing approximately $3 billion annually to cybercriminals. "We are amidst a scams war in this country." The speed and scale mean this is one the most pressing challenges of our time. https://lnkd.in/gpY6u5Sq
